We are looking for a Webex Product Marketing Manager Japan, to drive local and regional product marketing efforts to respond to the rapid growth of Webex Collaboration suite in Japan and the whole APJC region. This is a dynamic role for a highly proactive, strategic and results-driven person, who will work within the AJPC Collaboration team, reporting to Head of Marketing APJC Webex Contact Center / APJC Product Marketing Manager.

The individual will be an integral part of the APJC Product Marketing team, responsible for delivering awareness, adoption and growth into our customers and partners of Webex Collaboration portfolio in Japan and the wider APAC region. You will leverage the global product messaging and draw out a compelling strategy that resonates with the local audience. In addition, you will work closely with the regional product marketing team to coordinate APAC product go-to-market projects You will be expected to generate impactful solutions marketing contents including web, collateral, demos, competitive, presentations and videos for the local market.

What youll do:

  • Execute product marketing efforts to drive awareness and adoption of our offerings in Japan.
  • Leverage existing product marketing assets to create highly relevant local messaging. including but not limited to buyer personas, product collateral, thought leadership contents, press releases, blogs, launch events web-page updates, customer nurturing emails, customer presentations and sales training.
  • Work with regional Field Marketing team and subject matter experts to identify and generate portfolio contents mapped to the customer buying journey.
  • Keep a pulse on market trends and the competitive landscape. Regularly share competitive analyses on competitor positioning with internal stakeholders and to identify product differentiators to help form product marketing strategy.
  • Create campaigns and marketing programs that support the portfolios on an ongoing basis, and influence required changes.
  • Work with key sales and marketing stakeholders to execute local or regional marketing projects, including but not limited to ABM, content syndication, customer nurturing emails and so forth.
  • Be the local advocate to promote awareness of Ciscos global Customer Advocacy program, that entails case study, customer quotes and win stories.
  • Work with regional Field Marketing team to roll out strategic affiliate programs with industry and technology associations.
  • Drive solutions awareness into local sales teams, partners and customers to assist at all stages of the buying journey.
  • Be the key interface with local media and analysts
  • Be the conduit point to drive product marketing efforts for regional product Go-to-Market projects
  • Act as content provider and subject matter expert on your solutions, supporting field and channel enablement activities.
  • Policy and ensuring brand compliance and product positioning on all customer-facing solution marketing collateral and external communications
  • Copy writing in Japanese and review contents for localisation projects

Who you are:

  • 5 years of product marketing, product management or marketing experience in Japan or the Asia Pacific for SaaS applications, end-user business IT devices or consumer electronics.
  • Product management or marketing experience in Cloud Contact Centre, Collaboration Meetings or Virtual Events highly preferable.
  • Experience working within highly-matrix organisations and with global timezones highly preferable.
  • Strong Japanese language skills (written and spoken) and business fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • Extremely focused, self-motivated and disciplined. The company is going through a rapid growth stage, so we need laser-focused marketers who can aim high and deliver
  • You are a doer. You take initiative and dont wait to be told what needs to be done
  • You like a fast-paced environment where your job is varied
  • Strong project management skills with ability to execute marketing programs from planning, conceptualization, execution and measurement
  • Experience in presenting to large audiences and events (physical and virtual)
  • Always have the thirst for best practices and look for new opportunities to drive growth opportunities

  • A strong team player with a growth mindset. Collectively, we can achieve a bigger goal and purpose
  • Demonstratable understanding of the unique qualities, cultures and business acumen in Asia Pacific markets.
  • Strong PowerPoint presentation and copywriting skills.
  • Skills and experience with SFDC journey builder, Eloqua, intent data and ABM platforms (preferable)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as you will be our proud advocates for our industry-leading cloud collaboration technologies
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a Business discipline.
  • Ability to work autonomously and with virtual teams
  • Experience in working closely with sales organisations and leadership to deliver presentations
  • Connections into the Asia Pacific Analyst community and Technology media (preferably)
