The WebBased Application Programming and Development Analyst is responsible for:

  • Providing technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems and independently determining and developing approaches to solutions to design, develop, evaluate and modify systems and systems-oriented products.
  • Develops content to ensure web access is optimal for use on wide area network where bandwidth in low and latency is high.
  • Responsibile for performing daily web server log review and comply with all security alerts to include loading patches and make registry changes to eliminate vulnerabilities.Web servers include the use of Microsoft SharePoint services (SPS) and SPS Portal servers.
  • Responsible for using security toolset to determine web server security posture.
  • Researches and coordinates vulnerability findings with Security Analysis to provide fix/remediation actions.
  • Develops web pages and middleware applications using all versions of Hypertext Markup Language, and other server and client-side languages.
  • Develops globally accessible applications utilizing the latest web technologies focused on remote network management using .NET ASPX Pages, C#, Java, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, PowerShell, SharePoint API compiled languages such as C++, and Open Database Control (ODBC) programming to access various ODBC sources and third-party software.
  • Responsible for maintaining Microsoft based web servers to include backups, disaster recovery, installation, troubleshooting, and data transfer. Uses security toolset to determine web server security posture.
  • Research and coordinate vulnerability finding with Security Analysis to provide remediation actions.
  • Applies security patches and validates compliance with security guidance.
  • Provides training support on web page development, content development, and maintenance.
  • Develops and manages training on materials, web pages, programming languages and third-party web applications.
  • Supports local and deployed internet and intranet web pages; includes classroom, and seminar training.
  • Reviews technical project documentation for final draft coordination and subsequent release and assists personnel with project documentation and web site development. Provides general IT management support, general networking, Local Area Network (LAN)/Wide Area Network (WAN) enterprise, CONUS and OCONUS deployment/TDY travel, functional training, technical and general O&M, reports and documentation, and meetings/briefings to support Air Force Central Command (AFCENT) Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC) operations.


  • Requires B.S. in related field, and 5 or more years relevant experience; OR 7 or more years relevant experience.
  • Security+ or CCNA-Sec
  • MCP (Server), MCSD, and ITIL Foundation
