The Demand Gen Specialist is a specialized resource which allows for a greater depth of knowledge around Ciscos Compute Architecture.  The BDR develops qualified leads and helps map out the FUNDING CYCLES for approved projects.   The successful candidate will work closely with the PSS/VSS/VTS organizations to identify areas where Cisco has not YET gained a footprint in the Hyperconverged or Cloud Computing Space.  Candidates will jump start their Cisco sales career by joining this Demand Generation Team, part of Americas Data Center Sales and Engineering organization.  Start here and your potential for growth is endless.

You will find customers who have storage opportunities on the horizon.  Opportunities are not born in a day they develop over time.  Getting to know decision makers in potential accounts, gaining their trust, and consistently following up on upcoming budgeted projects THAT is what you will do to help Cisco unlock this 10 Billion dollar annual market.  Your primary contacts at Cisco will be the DC PSS/DC VSS/DC VTS you will also work closely with and leverage selected channel partners to maximize new sales opportunities.

 Who You Are

      3+ years B2B selling experience in similar or adjacent industry, start-up or consultancy company, ideally in sales with tech knowledge or a Tech Education background

      Experience in uncovering opportunities (and working daily with your assigned sales teams to make a sales number)

      Passionate about Sales and building positive relationships with customers

      Highly motivated candidates with determination, tenacity and drive

      Willingness to learn and launch sales experience and technology expertise

      Flexible and resilient problem solver

      Passionate about IT and ability to tap into technology

      History of career progression and desire for professional development

      Thrives in a team environment

      BS/BA Equivalent
