Prudential Financial is seeking a Vice President, Portfolio Management and Transformation Initiatives for the Global Technology organization. Reporting to the Vice President, Portfolio and Transformation Management, this newly created role will be responsible for driving strategy in support of the Global Technology portfolio across all of Prudential and executing on key transformation initiatives.

 

This highly visible role requires an individual who takes initiative, wants to be part of a team on a journey of accelerating enterprise transformation, and relishes the opportunity to be a glue that helps deliver large outcomes. The successful candidate must have experience working in a fast-paced, evolving business environment, and collaborating with senior leaders. The role will be based in Newark, N.J.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and driving the execution of strategic framework in support of the Global Technology portfolio
  • Collaborating with senior leaders to build consensus on strategic priorities in support of the Prudential Businesses
  • Developing an approach to monitor and improve performance over time including delivery against defined outcomes, identification of issues/barriers to success, points of integration and dependencies across multiple, interconnected initiatives
  • Managing a portfolio of strategic projects with focus and iteration
  • Coordinating and orchestrating aligned implementation across Corporate functions and businesses
  • Executing on key transformation initiatives 


  • Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in Portfolio and Transformation Management roles
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking and planning with tactical execution and delivery to achieve expected outcomes
  • Demonstrated success in leading, aligning and influencing others, across multiple functions and from senior leader to associate levels
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills including active listening, coaching, consultation and collaboration
  • Proven track record as intelligent risk taker and creative problem solver
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Bachelors Degree
