The VP of People Solutions Operations is responsible for leading and affecting all delivery of Human Resources shared service, transactional and technical activities to ensure alignment, consistency of application, and adherence to approved practices across all operations, functional areas, and vendors. Areas of responsibility include leadership of HR Shared Services, Analytics, Employment Practices, and HR Technology. Responsibilities include efficient operation of the HR contact center including time and payroll services, leave administration, benefit administration, onboarding, data and project management, and reporting. This role is also responsible for the overall delivery of HR Technology, HR portal maintenance, and all Service Management activities (including formation and measurement of SLAs). In addition, the leader will ensure the Employment Practices and Analytics teams provide support across the function globally.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

* Envisions, directs, and is accountable for the consistent delivery of shared services across the shared service model.

* Establishes priorities for deploying and affecting HR strategies to ensure improved effectiveness of service delivery and appropriate metrics. Provides feedback to corporate COEs and Shared Services leadership regarding major trends and opportunities for growth.

* Collaborates with other HR groups and leaders across the enterprise on the design of HR systems.

* Partners and collaborates with other functional technology leaders to ensure that HR technology is aligned with other business technology platforms.

* Collaborates with and engages HR leaders to ensure that shared services are aligned with HR strategic initiatives and plans. Functions as the senior-most Shared Services Center leader on complex issues that need resolutions or escalation.

* Drives initiatives to improve the HR portal and oversees the integration across HR systems.

* Directs the Service Management process and drives continuous improvement efforts.

* Oversees the data management, data architecture and technical support functions; guides the analytics team to collaborate with the HRBP community, other peers and company executives to improve performance in the deployment of a highly skilled and diverse work force.

* Is accountable for ensuring that the key performance indicators for the Shared Service Center are established, measured, and reported efficiently and effectively.

* Drives continuous improvement and service delivery excellence throughout the shared services functions by identifying and adopting best practices, maintaining a proactive sense of the business needs, and the analysis of competitors activities with the business sector.

* Provides leadership, direction, coaching, feedback, and, where appropriate, discipline to and through subordinate team members.

* Serves as a role model for being of service; ensures that the needs and expectations of all customers are consistently met or exceeded.

* Models and actively champions the importance of improving, knowing, supporting, and adhering to organizational policies and procedures, including confidentiality.

* Sets an example for honest, fair and ethical work practices; Acts as a role model for peers by accepting responsibility for own behavior and performance.

* Collaborates with divisions across Cox to transform the current employee offerings.

* Owns the strategic planning and reporting process for the People Solutions team, including creation and maintenance of an effective scorecard that measures direct business impact.



* BS/BA degree required. Major in Human Resources or related field preferred

* MBA in related discipline desired

* 15 or more years of experience required in related field

* 10 or more years of experience in a management role or leading cross functional projects preferred

* At least seven years of experience planning, developing, and managing departmental expense and capital budgets

* Demonstrated effective leadership of a transformational HCM system or other broad technology program preferred.

* Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems

* Experience evaluating information to determine compliance with standards, laws, and regulations

* Experience developing strategic initiatives which align with business goals and budget and related management of the budget

* Experience developing global strategic initiatives to align with business goals.

* Willing to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)

* Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization
