Infrastructure Solution Architecture Product Owner Job Description

Prudentials CTO organization is hiring an Infrastructure Solution Architecture Platform Product Owner to drive the product vision and strategy, own the customer relationship and successfully lead a team toward the vision.

As a Product Owner, this person will represent the voice of the customer. They are empowered to make decisions on scope and requirements, as well as manage and prioritize the Product Backlog to maximize business value. The successful candidate must have a strong background in infrastructure architecture, broad and deep experience across all infrastructure technologies, and a consultative skillset to engage business leaders and developers in the infrastructure solutioning process.

Responsibilities:

  • Build a consultative team, service offerings, and an agile process to support business unit projects in need of infrastructure solutions architecture where either the CTO Product Ownership is unclear or where the infrastructure solution spans multiple CTO Product Owners
  • Ensure the consistent adoption of infrastructure patterns and architecture principles
  • Partner with the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure alignment with enterprise guidelines
  • Partner with architecture leads on the CTO Product Owner team in the creation of solutions spanning multiple Product Owners
  • Serve as a feedback mechanism to CTO Product Owner teams on their strategies and the alignment to business unit needs
  • Chair a committee of architects from each CTO Product Owner team to drive alignment and consistency of architecture patterns
  • Set ambitious and clear product vision and communicate effectively to key stakeholders
  • Own the end-to-end product strategy from inception and determine business value once solution enters production
  • Acts as the primary customer representative for Agile Pod(s) to connect customer and product
  • Ensure alignment of product features and stories, i.e., review, give feedback, and prioritize user stories in line with own vision
  • Responsible for story prioritization, acceptance criteria definition and release planning
  • Ensure customer-driven design considering user pain points and usability test results, using market and industry knowledge as well as continual research, to deliver a well-positioned product
  • Drive sprint and release plans together with the Scrum Master and organizational technology teams Identifies market/customer needs and ROI; Responsible for defining a strategic multi-year plan impacting product decision
  • Exercise strong decision-making mandate from executive group to own product end-to-end
  • Effectively uses metrics and reporting to support data-driven decision-making




Qualifications

  • Experience planning, building and running a team of global solutions architects
  • Deep technical knowledge across a broad set of infrastructure technologies
  • Experience build cloud native solutions in support of 12-factor application design patterns
  • Technical expertise to be able to engage in discussion with tech team and to understand business outcomes and technical risks
  • Experience in Agile Development, with Product Owner (or similar) experience preferred
  • Consultative skillset with the ability to conduct continuous exploration of customer needs
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, with ability to communicate complex messages and trade-offs to tell a compelling story
  • Strong leadership skills with the demonstrated ability to work effectively across the organization and influence a diverse group of stakeholders and technical experts
  • Exhibits strategic thinking capabilities, problem solving skills, strong execution, and accountability for outcomes
  • Strong problem solver with ability to lead the team to push the solution and progress
  • Ability to translate business need into technical terms
  • Challenger mindset and passion to challenge status quo to find new solutions and drive out of the box ideas loves and embraces change
  • Believes in a non-hierarchical culture of collaboration, transparency, and trust across the team
  • Not afraid to roll up the sleeves and seeks to go outside comfort zone to learn pushes the team to do the same
