The Compensation Center of Expertise (CoE) is responsible for designing, implementing, administering and governing reward plans. These include base salary, annual incentive/sales plans and long-term incentive programs in order to attract, retain and motivate talent. This position will be responsible for compensation relationship management for PGIMs investment management businesses, providing compensation solutions globally that support PGIMs business strategy.

Specific responsibilities include:


  • Provide compensation consulting expertise to Lead Human Resources consultants, their teams and management to develop and maintain global annual incentive plans that support a strong pay for performance environment. Typical projects include design and implementation of customized LTI programs, carried interest and co-investment plans, annual incentive plans for investment professionals and non-investment professionals. This role may also lead, and/or participate in, Prudential Compensation Plan design projects.
  • Provide corporate governance of PGIM's specialized investment incentive plans by:

    • Managing select Compensation Committee reporting processes for Investment Professional Incentive Plan cash incentive accruals and carried interest/co-investment Plans.
    • Voting Member of the PGIM Real Estate and PGIM Private Capital Carried Interest Committees.
    • Authorship and maintenance of all plan documentation for notional LTIP, carried interest and co-investment plans.

  • Market intelligence consultation for the investment professional populations. Market data is needed for employee benchmarking to assess ongoing market competitiveness and as reference information for plan development.
  • Provide analytical support to manage the PGIM incentive plan (non-Investment professionals). Analysis includes incentive pool allocation and market pay positioning by business.
  • Lead compensation structure development for PGIM larger international locations for non-investment professionals.
  • Partner with sales management, human resources, marketing and finance to develop and monitor sales compensation programs that drive business results.
  • Maintain and manage policy interpretation, general plan governance, and review of plan effectiveness and design as needed. 
  • Consult on job evaluation, policy interpretation and recommend pay decisions to maintain internal equity, external competitiveness and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the year end compensation process including salary, annual incentive and equity awards in partnership with shared resources in PGIM and Compensation CoE.
  • Conduct training and education on compensation programs for clients as needed.




  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
  • Certified Compensation Professional designation desirable. 
  • Minimum 15 years of compensation design and consulting experience with several years of experience designing and consulting sales compensation programs. Experience with carried interest and co-investment plans in Private Equity and/or Real Estate asset classes is preferred.
  • Clear, concise and professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong executive presence to interact with Senior Leaders in a Fortune 500 environment and ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills. Proficient in MS Word, Power Point.
  • Experience with WorkDay and Salary.com is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large complex data sets and translate and communicate data and strategies in digestible terms to customers/clients.
