The ACO Contractor leads and develops contracting strategies and initiatives for the GA, FL and SC provider networks yielding a geographically competitive, performance based broad access, stable network that achieves objectives for unit cost and trend management, and produces an affordable and predictable model. ACO Contractors evaluate, develop, and execute contracting strategies and initiatives in compliance with company provider contract templates, reimbursement methodology standards, and other Community and State program requirements and key operational process controls.

Primary Responsibilities:

    ""
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert in provider contracting and value-based contracting for our Medicaid lines of business, which includes but is not limited to, the structure of payment methodology, regulatory requirements, schedule of reporting and provider communication
  • ""
  • Work directly with the UHN Market Lead and Provider Relations Lead to understand necessary contracting and provider education activities related to state specific initiatives
  • ""
  • Find opportunities for improvement /efficiency by utilizing UHN/UHC resources in order to create less manual work and intervention for the UHN team
  • ""
  • Address barriers and develop remediation plans related to contract compliance, regulation and Episodes of Care issues, Executive level communication regarding Community and State network strategies, initiatives and other network activities to segment leaders, UHN leaders, Govt RVP, and Regional President on frequent basis
  • ""
  • Complete ad hoc data analysis to support inquiries from Community and State segment leaders, compliance or the state regulators
  • ""
  • Drive UHN training related to Community and State network associated with implementation of programs and initiatives
  • ""
  • Coordinate project plans for the release of new initiatives and contracting projects
  • ""
  • Set up reoccurring meetings with key Community and State leaders to review items that require action and execution by UHN markets

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business, health care management or related field, or equivalent experience
  • ""
  • 5+ years of Network Management/Contracting and / or performance management experience
  • ""
  • Intermediate experience performing data analysis as it relates to quality performance as well as other operational metrics
  • ""
  • Advanced experience mapping, analyzing, documenting, and improving processes
  • ""
  • Advanced negotiation skills: ability to gain acceptance from others on a plan or idea and achieve bottom line results for the company
  • ""
  • Advanced project tracking, presentation, and reporting skills
  • ""
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • ""

  • Experience with UHN / UHC process, provider contracting and payment reform models (episodes, PCMH, ACO)
