The UX and Product Design Manager works closely with teams of designers to communicate and present across all levels of the organization, and support cross-functional product teams across a suite of products\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EMAJOR TASKS \u0026 RESPONSIBILITIES\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003C/strong\u003E40% - Delivery and Execution: Provides guidance on design of products while keeping in mind dependencies and integration with other products across the enterprise Reviews recommended designs and work of UX team members to ensure that designs are aligned with company, stakeholder, and end user priorities Guides UX and Product Designers in the product development lifecycle including vision, discovery, requirements as well as setting success benchmarks and determining key requirements at each step in the journey. Coaches and collaborates with product team members (UX, engineering, and product management) across product teams to design solutions and share best practices; Responsible for maintaining UX standards and processes for the UX and Product Design team design; Guides the creation of designs such that information is easy to find, consume and understand; Guides the communication of ideas and designs to end users and product team members\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E30% - People: Provides leadership, mentoring, and coaching to User Experience professionals; Attracts, retains, and develops top talent Conducts annual and midyear reviews, reviewing individual development plans and providing performance feedback; Fosters collaboration with team members (Engineering, Product Management, etc.) to drive value and identify and resolve impediments; Acts as a proponent of UX practices; Advocates for the end user and stakeholder by becoming associated with the product, empathizing with and understanding user needs; Guides more junior team members in strategy, alignment, analysis, and execution tasks; Participates in and contributes to learning activities around modern software design and development core practices (communities of practice); Delegates tasks and outlines people processes for delivering business results; Work with Director of Product on the growth and strategy of the department; Provide suggestions on organizational design and people allocation\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E30% - Strategy and Planning: Gains a thorough understanding of customer and associate needs, both existing and potential, and uses that knowledge to help design enterprise products that provide Home Depot customers and associates with an unparalleled shopping experience; Aligns user experience efforts across products and projects; Communicates with key user and operational groups to understand business needs; Elicits ideas and assists team members with gaining shared understanding, and aligns the product team and stakeholders; Presents complex design concepts, user needs, and design rationale to multidisciplinary teams, as well as to key stakeholders and business partners; Evangelize design thinking, foster a culture of collaboration and creative problem solving and cohesive user experience across products and teams at BlackLocus to find opportunities within all areas of the company\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ENATURE \u0026 SCOPE\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003EThis position reports to the Director. \u003Cbr /\u003EThis position has up to 2 direct reports.\u003C/div\u003E\u003Cdiv data-field=\u0022Postion_Requirement\u0022 class=\u0022Requirement\u0022\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003EMust be eighteen years of age or older.
