**ROLE SUMMARY**

The mission of the Utilities Team is to provide the site a constant flow of reliable, compliant utilities that ranges from the Qualified Utilities (PW, WFI, Clean Steam, Pharm Air, etc...) to the Non-Qualified Utilities (Electrical Power, Steam, Compressed Air, Chilled Water). The Electrical Engineer role functions as the "owner" and subject matter expert (SME) of distribution systems for Electrical power. Electrical power is the life-blood of the site and are expected to be operated in an efficient, reliable and compliant manner. In this function the Engineer will monitor and oversee the operation of the distribution assets to ensure efficient operation and usage of the utility across the site. The Engineer will function as the customer project manager for capital projects that replace/upgrade these assets and systems. The Engineer will also function as the site focal point for projects that will impact the usage of Electrical Power, including participation on project teams as necessary.



**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**



+ Technical expertise in the area of Electrical Power distribution

+ Develops solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity, innovation and creativity

+ Gathers, analyzes and interprets information from multiple sources in order to identify cause and effect relationships

+ Monitor and evaluate power metrics, react/correct as necessary

+ Develop and maintain Utilities Master Plans

+ Participate in utilities audits

+ Generate and potentially lead energy savings initiatives across the site; member of the Site Energy Savings Team

+ Initiate capital projects for asset replacement/upgrade; provide scope and operations philosophy for such projects

+ Represents the organization as the contact on other site capital projects; maybe be a member of project teams as needed

+ In partnership with Safety, work on Electrical Power Safe Work practices for the site

+ Willingness to learn other areas of the Utilities business and contribute as needed



**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**

Experience/Education:



+ 9 years of experience with a BS in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited institution

+ 7 years of experience with a MS in Electrical Engineering

+ Experience in large electrical power-consuming industry

+ Ability to effectively interface with the various organizations that consume power on the site

+ The ideal candidate with have extensive utilities experience in an industrial setting and familiar with Environmental requirements that pertain to electrical consumption.



**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**

Experience



+ Design experience in electrical power applications

+ Experienced in a pharmaceutical, FDA-regulated manufacturing environment

+ Experienced in electrical safety practices/NFPA 70E



Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:



+ Professional Engineer (PE) License

+ Certified Energy Manager
