**ROLE SUMMARY**



The US Rare Endocrine and Neurology franchise is one of the most rapidly growing businesses across Pfizer Biopharma, with 60% 3-year CAGR, and a stellar pipeline including two breakthrough asset launches ("25 by 2025") in the next 2 years. The team is progressing launch readiness efforts for Pfizer's very first gene therapy medicine in a "Create" market, currently in late-stage (Phase 3) development for treatment of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). PF-06939926 is truly a breakthrough medicine with potential to transform treatment of DMD, a rare and fatal neurological condition affecting young boys, currently with no effective treatment options.



The US DMD Gene Therapy HCP Lead will play a critical role on the launch team in leading the development and execution of key strategies and tactics for HCPs. The HCP Lead will create an end-to-end engagement strategy addressing unmet needs across multidisciplinary HCP teams in this nascent market, including unbranded campaign, DMD gene therapy education and KOL engagement plan. This role will also serve as the key commercial liaison for PH&I and PCA teams in defining the gene therapy access strategy at launch.



This position requires significant marketing expertise, ability to prioritize and lead strategically critical initiatives across multiple key stakeholders and experience in developing innovative solutions launching into novel therapeutic areas. The successful candidate should demonstrate strong strategic, analytical, execution and decision-making skills, with a proven track record of fostering cross-functional collaboration and delivering exceptional results. This position reports to the Senior Director, US Rare Disease Endocrine & Neurology Marketing Team Lead.



**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**



+ Identify, develop and lead execution of key strategies and tactics across multiple HCP channels to maximize the launch in this novel category

+ Build a robust platform for scientific education and gene therapy treatment narrative in collaboration with Medical and Global teams

+ Develop and execute unbranded campaign driving effective market development

+ Lead development of competitive strategy positioning Pfizer for market leadership leveraging 1st mover advantage

+ Lead segmentation and end-to-end engagement plan navigating a complex stakeholder map

+ Lead peer-to-peer education strategy and tactics

+ Closely collaborate with PH&I/PCA colleagues to define innovative access strategies and solutions

+ Oversee access pull-through in promotional content

+ Partner closely with CAI, Medical and Global teams to uncover key strategic customer insights and establish a differentiated brand platform

+ Partner with the broader marketing team in development and execution of key business deliverables (Operating Plan, LRF, Earnings, etc.)

+ As the DMD team expands towards the launch, oversee the HCP strategy and lead a team of HCP marketers in a player-coach model



**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**



+ BA/BS degree required, MBA or other advanced degree highly desirable

+ 10 years of pharmaceutical industry or healthcare consulting experience required

+ Previous product launch, market development and US Marketing experience strongly preferred

+ Rare disease or specialty experience preferred

+ Proven track record in developing, executing and measuring complex marketing programs that drive performance

+ Demonstrated ability to successfully navigate whitespace and complex stakeholder maps to develop novel solutions

+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively with varied internal stakeholders to identify key customer insights and translate into actionable strategies

+ Solid business acumen and organizational skills with excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including senior management

+ Strong people management and influencing skills even without direct reporting relationships

+ Proven track record of operating in a fast-paced, high energy environment

+ Strong analytical skills; detail and action oriented

+ Self-motivated and a team player

+ Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver results on multiple, complex, competing projects in a deadline-oriented environment

+ Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact



**NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS**



Occasional domestic travel anticipated for RC or team meetings, agency presentations, training, POAs, congresses and KOL meetings
