Cedar Hills Hospital currently has an opening for a Therapist serving our Inpatient Hospital. In this dynamic role, you will be assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs and graining skills through therapeutic treatment to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation and teaching. Also completes specialized clinical social work services for patients/families requiring care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed. The Program Therapist is responsible for planning and coordinating activities related to discharge planning. Developing and implementing a plan of care designed to meet the patient's post hospitalization needs while ensuring continuity of care. No supervision required.

Job Requirements

Education: Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work or a clinical related mental health field preferred.

Experience: Requires a minimum of two (2) years' experience in a psychiatric health care facility with direct experience e in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills.

Licensure: Must possess a state license within two years of employment.

Additional Requirements: Successful completion of CPR certification, Crisis Management and Service Excellence Training within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in a restraining procedure. Must be able to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
