**ROLE SUMMARY**

The TCL Americas Lead will be a dual hat position with the following primary and secondary responsibilities:



+ Primary focus will be direct responsibilities for the management of temperature-controlled shipments in the Americas region

+ Secondary responsibilities will be as a project lead for the GSC network as part of the Projects and Network Compliance Team



**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Americas TCL Lead:**



+ Leads temperature control related investigations, inspections and audits.

+ Partners with sites, markets, Logistics Delivery Operations, Logistics Platform Services, Customer service and logistics providers, to ensure that temperature sensitive products are shipped and handled in a compliant and efficient matter according to all regulations and Pfizer quality standards.

+ Work closely with Quality to develop strategies to improve vendor performance as part of BSC/ORM process

+ Co-lead regional supplier ORMs with regional LNO to drive Quality and Compliance requirements with IO suppliers

+ Responsible for designing and executing change management strategies for projects and transactional activities as defined by IO SOPs

+ Developing project management plans on a product-by-product basis to ensure global readiness for new product launch activities

+ Leading RFI/RFP/RFQ with Global Procurement for newly identified systems

+ Maintenance of the IO Global Re-use continuous improvement program, and other packaging-relate CIP's



**Process Excellence, Standardization, and Compliance**



+ To lead projects/initiatives targeted to reduce temperature excursions globally.

+ To develop appropriate KPIs/metrics, Standard Work Plans, visual boards, and other required process optimization tools to support PGS Network development.

+ To monitor and ensure temperature-controlled distribution processes operate effectively across the organization by initiating, leading and facilitating opportunities for improvement. This includes:

+ Processes for holistically identifying/tracking significant cost driver

+ Network/site changes with potential to impact IO vendors or Global Procurement initiatives

+ To ensure appropriate people, process, systems, and technological platforms for capability development of global customers and 3rd parties for temperature sensitive processes.

+ Monitor and Recommend process changes to ensure product compliance in Storage and Distribution.

+ To provide support and input to Cold Chain Management/Regulatory Policies to work towards a harmonized Corporate and external temperature-controlled distribution processes.

+ To have a developed knowledge of the logistics processes globally in order to advise on optimization of processes pertaining to temperature-controlled distribution practices

+ Develop (Cluster/Sub region/AMP team/IO team) CI process to meet BSC targets. That includes leading the CI discussion, updating the CI board, coordinating CI project prioritization and owning CI initiatives if needed

+ Use IMEx Ecosystem to help (Cluster/Sub region/ IO team Cluster/Sub region/AMP team/IO team) to drive continuous adherence and maturity to Market Excellence requirements in TCL compliance related



**QUALIFICATIONS**



+ BS in Packaging/Mechanical or related Engineering required. Advanced Degree desirable

+ 5-7 years of experience in supply chain with equivalent Technical experience in Thermal Packaging or Temperature Controlled Logistics

+ Minimum of 3 years of Project Management experience

+ 3-5 years of experience working with regulatory bodies

+ 7-10 years of experience and knowledge of the Pharmaceutical environment preferably in supply chain

+ Expertise in identification, qualification and selection of Packaging Materials and Technologies for temperature sensitive products

+ Candidate must have excellent communication and presentation skills

+ Experience and knowledge of latest cold chain packaging technologies/trends

+ Aptitude to learn, develop, and adapt to change

+ Effective communication skills, both oral and written (English) with both technical and non-technical clients. Demonstrated collaborative, consultative, problem solving, prioritization and analytical skills

+ Lean Capabilities desired

+ Process and Product Knowledge

+ Method 1 Facilitator desired

+ Effective meeting facilitation skills

+ Method 2 Certified desired

+ PHP Practitioner desired

+ Robust knowledge of IMEx desired

**Technical skills**



+ Demonstrated skills as a project lead with the ability to drive results with stakeholders of varying levels

+ In depth knowledge of a broad range of controlled temperature shipping components, systems, monitoring equipment, best practices and governing regulations

+ In depth understanding of regulatory guidelines impacting the launch of biologic product applications and launch on a global basis

+ General understanding of biologic drug development and commercialization process

+ Understanding of processes used in development and qualification of controlled temperature shipping systems

+ Proven project management and complex problem-solving skills

+ Ability to effectively manage and influence cross functional teams

+ Effective verbal and written communication and technical writing skills

+ Can determine areas of potential risk to business success and generate gap analysis



**Technical functional skills:**



+ Can analyze operational process problems and determining appropriate corrective and preventative actions

+ Demonstrate knowledge through practical application

+ A propensity to pursue goals with energy and persistence

+ Ability to lead meetings with senior-level personnel and can articulate issues and solutions to both team and senior management.

+ Maintains clear communication with customers (internal and external) and monitors customer expectations

+ Must be able to work in a global environment across multiple time zones

+ Up to 35% travel
