Defense

The Defense group supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions.

Responsibilities

The Technology Advisor/Architect shall:

a. Support developing the goals, objectives and implementation strategies for IT services provided throughout the enterprise, including countries in Southwest Asia.
b. Provide strategic guidance and technical direction across the NOSC functional areas for network and systems engineering to develop network and systems engineering concepts, applying System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts and principles. Participate in strategic planning conferences and working groups and provide recommendations.
c. Assist with the planning direction and execution of USAFCENT network operations projects supporting USCENTCOM contingency and wartime operations
d. Provide recommendations for strategic guidance and technical direction across all functional areas on network and systems engineering to develop network and systems engineering concepts and apply System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles.
e. Meet with key vendors and other organizations to represent USAFCENT A6 requirements.
f. Review technical project documentation for final draft coordination and subsequent release. Includes assisting personnel with project documentation and web site development as needed.
g. Collaborate with government stakeholders, teammates and other contractors to meet all mission requirements efficiently and effectively.
h. Provide expert technical analysis and direction to optimize mission performance while minimizing program risks.
i. Help ensure program compliance with all government laws, policies and regulations and directives.
j. Institute and maintain industry best-practice standards, processes, and methodologies.

Qualifications

Required experience and qualifications:


- M.S. in related field and 7 or more years relevant experience (preferred) OR 10 or more years of relevant IT experience AND IT operations/services management, training, and firewall experience
- Active TS/SCI clearance or a final TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
- CISSP or CCNP-Sec
- Hold one or more of the following certifications: PMP or equivalent, CCNP, MCSE (Server Infrastructure), Trainer Certification (Microsoft, Cisco or Military equivalent), Firewall, and ITIL Foundation


Desired experience and qualifications; it is desired that the candidate meet one or more of the following experience requirements:

- CCIE or equivalent certification.
- 5+ years experience supporting DoD mission-critical networks such as SIPRNet.
