The Technical Specialist II role on the Enterprise Document Solutions team within the Operations Division is responsible for effectively and accurately processing routine and non-routine activities/transactions by drawing on multiple information sources and understanding the potential effects. This necessitates an understanding of the brokerage industry and in-depth knowledge of area systems, processes, and procedures including those of related departments and divisions. In addition, the associate can identify inherent and potential risks and the impact they have on business area functions and controls, as well as, make recommendations to mitigate those risks. The position also requires the ability to work with a moderate degree of autonomy and to interpret information, making subjective decisions that are often complex and non-routine. Functions include: collaborating with other teams and departments; and facilitating technology or system efforts through gathering requirements, developing and executing system tests, creating documentation, and supporting all aspects of implementation.

The position will also support the daily and periodic responsibilities of the team, and will be required to learn the critical processes and procedures for which the team is responsible. This includes preparation of statistics and key performance measures, exception queue review, and handling voids.

* Must be able to come into the office when onsite testing is needed and be willing to occasionally work some non-traditional hours when testing requires.
* High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
* 3-5 years of experience in a financial services environment (i.e. brokerage, banking, insurance, etc.) or specific technical system experience required.
* Ability to apply industry and operational functional knowledge to enhance systems, processes and controls.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills are required as the position will communicate with leaders, Home Office stakeholders, vendors and branch teams. Strong collaboration skills required.
* Demonstrate ability to develop test scripts, perform testing and implement system changes and process improvement opportunities.
* Demonstrate organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task with great attention to detail and handle a moderate to heavy workload; able to meet deadlines while working independently.
* Proficient at creating spreadsheets and creating and analyzing reports. Must have proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Hyperion/Data Warehouse skills preferred.
