The AT&T Secure Network Operations Centre (NOC) provides Network support to multiple Government agencies providing 24x7 365 days a year proactive monitoring and management. Using our ITIL based process driven model we manage network devices and configurations and help meet security compliance. The Operations Engineer will be part of a small team responsible for the configuration and ongoing support of the network components including Switches, Routers, Firewalls and load balancers.


Ideally the candidate will already have SC clearance and a Commitment with no issues to undergo further DV clearance, which is a prerequisite.


These are zero outage platforms so the candidate will need to have to gain a good understanding of the environment and should also aim to become a subject matter expert for one or more technologies.


It is expected that the candidate will have well developed diagnostic, communication and analytical skills across a range of technologies in order to maintain continuity of this service.


**Required Skills**


+ Demonstrable working knowledge and understanding of the range of technologies.

+ Cisco CCNA or equivalent.

+ Dynamic working attitude and strong problem-solving skills.

+ Good written and verbal English skills.

+ Organized, good time management and generally methodical in approach to work.

+ Strong follow-up skills (tenacity).

+ Ability to work alone and have a proactive approach to workload;Willingness to travel to client meetings if needed.

+ Technical Requirements / Components:

+ Hardware Setup (Appliance & Switches)

+ Juniper, McAfee & Checkpoint

+ Network Load Balancing F5 LTM/GTM

+ HP Enterprise level switches and routers


**Desirable Skills**


+ Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.

+ Understanding of 24x7 mission critical enterprise computing environments and the impact of service disruption on a companys bottom line.

+ Network Address Translation (NAT) and Port Address Translation (PAT).

+ IPS/IDS understanding.

+ Working knowledge of data communications: premise cabling (Cat5/6), fiber optics, and peripherals.

+ Proven experience leading complex network issue resolution.


+ **Load Balancers F5 ( LTM / GTM/ APM ect ) / Checkpoint Firewalls Juniper , fortinet , Cisco and HP Wireless / Riverbed WAN accelerators**

+ **Netscaler**

+ **Netscout or similar**

+ **Wireless controllers and access points**

+ **VMWare NSX**

+ **Cisco / HP routers , switches and network product**

+ **Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Infrastructure Libraries (ITIL) processes**


**Additional Information**


We are looking to recruit 4 Technical Specialists.


Due to the nature of this role you must be a UK citizen with 5 years uninterupted stay.


Working hours: Shift Work 4x4 Pattern
