What Youll Do

The Cisco Cloud & Hosted team is searching for a Technical Solutions Architect to act as a critical member of the North America Service Provider focused TSA Cloud & Hosted team. You will apply your pre-sales skills and technical expertise in Cisco calling and collaboration solutions to accelerate Service Provider adoptions of various Cisco Collaboration offers. You will engage in service creation and service incubation activities to empower Service Providers to improve their opportunity in workplace transformation. You will play a key role in advising Service Providers on the value proposition of Cisco Cloud & Hosted calling and collaboration solutions, figuring out optimal fit for different customer needs in different market segments, and delivering an outstanding customer experience consisting of Cisco Collaboration suite where you will lead with your expertise in Webex Calling, Webex for BroadWorks, Teams and Meetings, plus UCM Cloud, HCS, Webex Contact Center and other Cisco solutions.

Who Youll Work With

You will work on a team with other hardworking and experienced service creation specialists uniquely skilled with Service Provider lifecycles and business cases. Your pre-sales and technical skills will be critical when working cross-functionally with various Service Provider product and technical teams and various customer-facing and internal Cisco teams on aligning technology to meet customer's key business priorities with Ciscos Collaboration solutions.

In this role, youll be responsible for:

  • Identifying key Service Provider partner and customer requirements and presenting Cisco Cloud & Hosted technical solutions that meet those requirements.
  • Recommending Collaboration solutions using your technical breadth across multiple technologies and areas.
  • Assisting with defining Service Provider offers consisting of Cisco Cloud & Hosted calling solutions, Cisco Collaboration solutions and other Cisco solutions.
  • Assisting with solution design and architecture, technical onboarding and Go-To-Market readiness of Service Provider partners.
  • Leading customer feature requests including documentation of customer requirements, prioritization of all customer requests within each account, and driving development of key features.
  • Driving the growth of Service Provider partners. Assisting with customer sales engagements for strategic opportunities.
  • Providing support for the technical fulfillment of RFIs, RFQs and RFPs.
  • Implementing lab and proof of concept systems and delivering demos and demo accounts to partners as a part of solution evaluation processes.
  • This job may require 35%+ travel.

  • Proactive in establishing relations and working with external and internal partners to drive cloud and hosted calling innovation through Service Provider channel. Willing to learn new solutions and technologies, but also willing to deep dive and explore details of existing solutions to help partners to move their existing customers towards the latest innovation available with new solutions.
  • Validated and effective leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with others through conflicting pressures and priorities while resolving sophisticated issues.
  • Understand and can articulate how collaboration powers business growth, innovation and efficiency.
  • Understand and can articulate how great end user experiences drive usage and adoption of collaboration solutions.

You should have

  • Extensive experience in cloud and hosted voice network architectures, solutions, products, protocols, including pre-sales experience with Tier 1 Service Providers.
  • Knowledge of Cisco Cloud and Hosted calling solutions: Webex Calling, Webex for BroadWorks, UCM Cloud, HCS.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated operating experience in one or some of the following areas:
  • Voice, VoIP, Video, Mobile Communications, SBC, CPE, etc.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated operating experiences in end to end network integration and solution deployment.
  • Understanding of VoIP and data networking concepts including:
  • Familiarity with Telco Service Provider networks, process, systems, and operating models.
  • Familiarity with Operation Support Systems (billing, call rating, problem reporting, provisioning, testing, and service activation systems/platforms).
  • Experience with software and hardware, testing and implementation.
  • Some understanding of software development technologies like Linux Shell, Java, Python.
  • BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent preferred.


  • Knowledge and pre-sales Contact Center experience, especially Cisco Contact Center, would be a significant plus.
  • Knowledge of other Cisco solutions and technologies: BroadCloud, BroadWorks, CUCM, Webex Teams, Jabber, Webex Meetings, Meraki, SD-WAN would be a plus.
