Individual in this role will be responsible for the definition, management and implementation of technology focused projects/programs. Primary focus will be on implementing the medical management platform supporting utilization management, prior authorization, case management and disease management that is scalable to support critical business functionality, compliance, regional business strategies and technology consolidation. Requires critical thinking to deliver technology solutions meeting a diverse set of markets for Medical Group and IPA/RBE providers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, plan and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects
  • ""
  • Assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all subordinates are actively working toward established milestones
  • ""
  • Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects
  • ""
  • Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives
  • ""
  • Research and evaluate hardware and software technology options and weigh the cost/benefit analysis when making large purchases on behalf of the company
  • ""
  • Establishing and managing to a robust end-to-end project plan supporting a common operating model for the medical management platform and enabling technologies that have broad functionality to serve medical management needs across our employed and contracted ecosystems
  • ""
  • Leading multiple technology platform, enabling technologies and data integrations simultaneously ensuring broad functionality to serve Optumcare Nevada
  • ""
  • Facilitating meetings to gather business requirements, process flows and configuration requirements and translate into technology design and technical specifications for implementation
  • ""
  • Managing end-to-end testing driving flawless execution
  • ""
  • Leveraging proven project management best practices, tools and artifacts for a structured and organized approach for all technology project implementations
  • ""
  • Interfacing with all levels of cross functional business, operational, technology and market level resources to gather, document and deploy technology solutions that meet regional needs
  • ""
  • Defining work strategies, aligning these with resources and desired regional outcomes and overseeing planning and flawless execution of the work
  • ""
  • Presenting to senior leadership on project status aligned with plans, risk mitigation strategies, change management and financial updates
  • ""
  • Directing the integration of technical aspects of all related projects/programs
  • ""
  • Conducting analyses, needs assessments, cost/benefit assessments, gap analysis and solutioning, and helping to broker other technology services
  • ""
  • Overseeing and reporting on vendor solutions, including financial management to ensure budget compliance

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or work equivalent experience.
  • ""
  • 5+ years of experience in project management
  • ""
  • Experience running projects in multiple methodologies: Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid
  • ""
  • Technical knowledge to interpret network diagrams, server specs and business requirements
  • ""
  • Experience working on in-house developed software in the SDLC process
  • ""
  • Proven track record working in a leadership role in a matrix organization
  • ""
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • ""
  • This is an office-based position in our Las Vegas office
  • ""
  • You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location
  • ""
