What could you accomplish with Walmart?Job Title:Technical Product Manager - Data Enablement ServicesPosition Summary:As part of the newly created Data Strategy and Enablement Team (DS&E), this role will be an enabler of our journey to be the worlds leading data-driven retailer. As part of this transformation, we are seeking an individual who will be responsible for defining the data enablement product needs including both sources and services, activities across the DS&E team to elevate our acquisition activity as well as the internal processes to support data sourcing. We are looking for a highly motivated, resourceful, team-oriented individual contributer to define the data requirements for the ingestion, processing, placement and consumption needs across the data enablement process. You will participate in reviewing potential data services,, work with Data enablement team, Engineering and other stakeholders to define the data needs, and ensure delivery of the data services in alignment with business need. You will also coordinate delivery of these resources and collaborate across key functional domains and business lines, data engineering, quality assurance, data analysts and data stewards. In addition, you will play a key role in helping our business community work with these datasets effectively. The Technical Product Manager role will report to the Director, Data EnablementCity:HOBOKENState:NJPosition Description:Develops and champions a product strategies for one or more complex platform components, and roadmap for one or more platform product areas in support of architectural vision and principles established Develops technical product specifications for the architecture of underlying platform components (for example, identity, content management and payment processing) As part of the newly created Data Strategy and Enablement Team (DS&E), this role will be an enabler of our journey to be the worlds leading data-driven retailer. Manager's Ideal Candidate Must-Haves : Key responsibilities: - Develop a keen understanding of the datasets and data services as they move through the data enablement process - Define and Develop requirements for Data Productization - Able to translate the business needs to the technical needs - Develop a process/framework for defining requirements for each data service and capability in a consistent manner - Work with the business, external and internal technical teams to ensure the data capabilities meet the needs across the business - Monitor and produce reports on data usage to inform long-term acquisition strategy - Act as SME on data sources, uses, and best practices - Anticipate critical data issues and develop mitigation approaches - Responsible for defining and implementing onboarding workflow, including data quality testing, and help discover new and better ways of improving the efficiency of our operations - Curate documentation and lead training sessions to facilitate end user support Who you are: - You have prior experience with implementation of data enablement and productization initiatives - You have experience in documenting the requirements from the business and technical view points - You have experience in working with the technical/engineering teams to implement data solutions and data pipelines - - You have deep understanding of commercial data sources and understand database concepts and terminology - You have a demonstrated track record of handling multiple complex sourcing projects and delivering results - You are a team player, with the courage to drive change through disruption while maintaining a respect for the team - Requirements: - Minimum of 8 years of data services and tools enablement experience in a data focused organization - Bachelors degree in computer science or related fields - 6+ years of experience in defining/documents requirements around data services, processing, consumption and data productization - Self-directed, well organized and have good follow-up skills - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Strong interpersonal skills - Proven ability to drive results, esMinimum Qualifications: + Bachelor of Science and 8 years' product management experience OR Master of Science and 4 years' product management experience.
