Who You'll Work With

The SD-WAN Technical Marketing Team is looking for a Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) to help drive field enablement, product & solution delivery, technical strategies, and customer adoption of Cisco SD-WAN as part of Ciscos Enterprise Routing portfolio.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with engineering teams and product management teams on defining the requirements for Cisco SD-WAN, SASE, Cloud Networking, and Observability products and solutions.

You will also engage with account teams and customers directly to understand their business and technical challenges, ensuring that the solutions we currently have and/or being planned would address these issues.

The TME will also create technical collaterals and lead sales enablement for these products and solutions.

What youll do

  • The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with engineering teams and product management teams on defining the requirements for Cisco SD-WAN, SASE, Cloud Networking, and Observability products and solutions.
  • Engage with account teams and customers directly to understand their business and technical challenges, ensuring that the solutions we currently have and/or being planned would address these issues.
  • Provide Planning, Designing, Implementation, Operation, and Optimization services to Cisco Professional Services Customers around Ciscos Enterprise Networking products and related solutions (SDWAN)
  • Build technical collaterals and lead sales enablement for these products and solutions.
  • Developing technical collateral, including white papers, technical slide decks, and presentations
  • Publishing blogs and/or YouTube videos to help elaborate and evangelized Cisco's technologies and solutions
  • Presenting at trade shows and conferences such as Cisco Live!
  • Work with engineering to define product requirements and feature priorities
  • Assisting Sales and Customer Experience teams in designing customer networks
  • Educating sales teams at conferences and workshops
  • Testing new technologies/releases in the lab
  • As a note, post-COVID-19, there may be the need for travel at times but it will be limited

Who you are

You're the connection to Cisco customers and will establish relationships while solving issues, managing expectations, and leaving the customer feeling valued.

You are someone who is continually developing your knowledge in networking products and protocols to provide support in your designated technology focus area. You're able to explain technical concepts and present information in a concise manner to both technical and non-technical personnel.

You love sharing knowledge to build relationships, and optimally tackle problems both alone and as part of a team. You have the confidence and ability to lead customer interactions and assist teammates as needed.

Desired Skills

  • Strong knowledge in general networking (e.g. routing, switching and wireless technologies and common protocols like TCP/IP, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF)
  • Certifications with Cisco (CCNP+) and/or public cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) highly desirable
  • Prior experience with technical role in related technologies (Routing, SD-WAN, Cloud Networking, and/or Security) would be a huge plus
  • Strong communication, presentation, and consulting skills
  • Dedication and the resourcefulness to resolve sophisticated technical problems, multitask, and be dedicated to customer success
