What You'll Do

Should you become a Cisco Technical Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for direct ownership of Ciscos Sell To Business with assigned Public Sector customers such as SBB, BKW, SRG, Swissgrid and you will have an overall responsibility of managing the relationship across all dimensions of the business with your customers.

The Account Manager at Cisco is the key contact for our customers. You will be based in Bern or Zurich and own and nurture the relationships, building and executing the sales strategy.

In this role you will:

  • Manage all revenue streams from the Accounts by collaborating with Cisco and Partner teams as well as extended virtual teams serving your customers.
  • Build positive relationships at all management levels within you customers.
  • Develop a long term 1-3 year Account/Business Plan in collaboration with cross functional teams to align with the customers long term growth, innovation plans and transformational business opportunities.
  • Drive the execution of a 12 month plan to meet set breakthroughs and goals.
  • Identify and close groundbreaking opportunities in the accounts through positive relationships with key stake-holders and executive decision makers to improve Ciscos wallet share.
  • Develop & articulate sales strategies for all major opportunities and understand the buying cycle for the opportunities being pursued.
  • Achieve order intake targets for the Account portfolio under management.
  • You will be responsible for business reporting (monthly forecast, weekly commit, pipeline development).
  • Ensure the desired position and market share are achieved through the use of consistent messages in every aspect of the Account relationship and development on all appropriate levels.
  • Work with the customers to develop an innovation strategy to help save costs, deliver value to their business and gain a bold advantage.
  • Act as primary focal point for the customers.
  • Focus on value based selling and creating business relevance for technology solutions

Who You Are

  • You are passionate about the customer experience and excited about new technology.
  • You have deep knowledge of working with complex IT solutions including engagement with key decision makers and all other technical and business influencers at the customer.
  • You know how to negotiate solutions and resolve issues with peers, partners and customers employing an outcome where everybody wins oriented philosophy.
  • You have experience in building relationships with named accounts while mapping client's needs to IT solutions.
  • You have the ability to sell within IT hierarchy as well as to non-IT business units.
  • You come with validated experience for successful account management including forecasting, quota over achievement, sales presentations, short term, mid-term and long term opportunity management.
  • You are skilled in business forecasting (monthly forecast, weekly commit and pipeline development).
  • You are able to engage and lead cross-functional/virtual resources as part of team.
  • You have validated negotiation skills; you are a self-starter, a strong closer with excellent verbal and written communications skills in Swiss German and English as well as executive presentation abilities.
  • You have understanding of large business organizations and their buying cycles.
  • You come with BA degree (MA preferred) and 5+ years of overall sales experience.
