What you will do:

You will be involved in technical support service that is passionate about attending the customer request for which valid ticket is opened with Cisco High Touch Technical Support. This role involves challenging your skills across spectrum of activities like review of issues with respect to software defects, Planning / Design shortcomings, Implementation issues, and Optimization done on Cisco Mobile Wireless Solutions. Main focus will be on End to end Mobility fault management, with a baseline focus on 3G/4G mobile packet core (LTE, UMTS/CDMA), signaling, Mobile transport and backhaul technologies, Applications such as Policy, IMS, VoLTE, and Billing.

The team is involved in different aspects of customer engagements in all theaters and act as a flawless technical support partner to Product Management and Theatre teams.

Who you are

  • You are an ambitious person with 10+ years of related technical experience
  • You are a creative problem solver, comfortable with Challenging the status quo
  • With a credible mix of broad networking knowledge and specific area expertise in Packet Core & Policy / Cloud / ACI / IP Transport as well as excellent Customer Relationship Leadership skills, you're well positioned to become an advisor capable of building long-term relationships with customers.
  • You understand the principles of end-to-end system architecture and design principles.
  • You should have good Consulting Skills and experience in IP internetworking including routing protocols, LAN Switching and security. Knowledge and experience of Cisco equipment such as ASR 1K, 6500, 7600, ISG, ASR 5K.
  • Excellent communications skills, experience working directly with customers and ability to relate to customer representatives at various levels
  • Good technical writing skills and have experience in writing RCAs, test and implementation plans.
  • Ability to connect with team & customers
  • Knowledge of Virtualization (Openstack, VmWare etc.) and Data Center technologies
  • Proficient in packet core nodes (S-GW, P-GW, MME, GGSN, SGSN, PDSN/HA). Knowledge on WiFi and Femto access points, gateways, security, network management additionally along with Service Controllers, Content Billing Servers, etc.
  • attend the customer request for which valid ticket is opened with TAC and check if the request is genuine and guide customer to collect required logs for further troubleshooting. (This is 24X7X365 work where you will have good amount of flexibility to work from home location / Cisco office / customer premises basis situation demand as you will be mobile resources.
  • Work with HTTS for case to be resolved as per SLA.
  • Work with customer to ensure that hardware replacements are carried out efficiently.
  • Work with Deployment team to ensure that required change requests for activities planned by them on network are aligned with customer activity plans.
  • Work as an owner for assigned TAC case with HTTS to ensure closure with customer being front end engineer.
  • Responsible for communication of Final RCA working closely with HTTS & Development team and ensure proper closure of discussion on same to the satisfaction of customer.
  • Handle customer sentiment.
  • Work on innovations and new insights that will reduce the ticket volume and improve the quality of handling tickets.
