The Team

Strategically positioned within the Cisco Customer Experience Organization, Cisco's Technical Assistance Center (TAC) is a team of best-in-class technical experts whose main focus is to help customers deploy and operate their networks effectively while delivering the best possible customer experience. Aligned to three geographic regions, and converging into one global, borderless TAC, we are the first to be confronted by challenges and issues with new equipment and tools in the field. We provide dedicated support to our customers, partners, account teams, and other TAC consulting engineers. The Email Security support team delivers extraordinary technical consulting and support to a large portion of Ciscos customer base. Come innovate with us and make a difference in the constant fight for secure networking.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Review customer data in the form of network topologies, and crash, log, or other device files for anomalies.
  • Deliver solutions that lead to problem resolution or mitigation with a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Be able to listen to, accept, and follow direction from more senior engineers.
  • Effectively engage resources outside your team to further the troubleshooting and resolution of issues which may include other technical support engineers, account teams, partners, and development engineers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience troubleshooting networking issues
  • Fundamental networking theory
  • BS in a technical field (CS/CE/EE preferred) and 2-demonstrated ability in network support
  • 1-2 years of experience supporting network security products
  • Experience with email security solutions
  • Dedication and ability to resolve complex technical problems, multitask, and be dedicated to customer success
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Innate crisis management skills and ability to handle critical customer issues/problems
  • Experience interacting with customers or in a client-facing role.
  • Passion and demonstrated ability to learn and work in a multicultural team environment
  • Ability to drive to achieve goals with limited supervision

Desired Skills

  • Wireshark or any other protocol analyzer
  • Programming skills (Python, Linux, Shell Scripting)
  • Virtualization (VMware)
  • CCNA Certification
  • Cisco Devnet Associate Certification
