What You'll Do

  • Provide phone/email/fax consultation to independently debug complex product problems.
  • Provide systems/product training.
  • Acts as a focal point for large account network problem resolution.
  • Acts as a technical guide.
  • Provides support on a worldwide basis.


  • The engineer will provide technical support to partners and/or customers for Cisco technologies, products, and/or solutions.
  • The engineer will typically be responsible for resolving moderately to highly complex technical problems, depending on the customers' needs.
  • The engineer will simulate technical problems in a lab environment.
  • The engineer will share his/her knowledge with other people in writing technical documents and enlarge the knowledge database.
  • The engineer will provide internal and/or external technical presentations (cross-training).
  • The engineer will call out some specific problems to the responsible Business Units for product improvement.
  • The engineer will work closely with the colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • The engineer will strive for technical perfection and expertise.

The team is responsible for holistically resolving challenging issues across Cisco's Technologies and Product Families our Cloud Service Providers deploy. The team provides 24x7 worldwide technical support for Cisco products


Who You Are

  • Looking for candidates with a good attitude and Customer support expertise in Cisco Security technologies including Email Security Appliance (ESA) or Web Security Appliance (WSA)
  • 3 to 5 years Support experience in Cisco Security technologies like Cisco ASA firewall, AMP, ESA , WSA IPsec, VPN, AAA, ISE, IPSec, GRE.
  • A good understanding of TCP/IP, Routing, and Switching fundamentals will be preferred.
  • Solves product and network problems of high complexity. Has strong knowledge in Network Security Technologies
  • Provides consultation to independently solve complex product and network problems.
  • Effectively utilizes complex lab setups to duplicate and solve problems.
  • Provides systems/product training and intellectual property material.
  • Acts as a point of contact for large account network problem resolution.
  • Submits complete and accurate defect reports in the area of expertise.
  • Is a certified technical expert in at least one area (in Security Technologies) - Ideally a CCIE certification in security
  • Consults with other Teams in Cisco to assist Customers.
  • Engages as a technical representative on escalated customer issues.
