Our ACI-Customer Support Engineers play a crucial role in helping customers solve problems. Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) is a new and revolutionary technology to allow application requirements to define the network. Cisco transforms next-generation data center and cloud deployments with innovative technology that radically simplifies, optimizes and accelerates the entire application deployment lifecycle. In this role you will:

Interface internally with Technical Consulting Engineers, Sales Engineers, Network Consulting Engineers, Technical Leaders and internal engineering departments.

Providebackbonetechnical support for all aspects of ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure)

Apply analytical skills and technical knowledge to solve product and software problems of moderate to high complexity.

Act as a technical expertfor the productand provide support on a world-wide basis

Provide technology/product training and intellectual property material as required

Utilize moderate to complex lab setups to recreate and solve problems

Minimum Qualifications

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with and provide guidance to other team members by developing methods and procedures on new assignments

Customer support experience, including strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, proven crisis management skills and ability to handle critical customer issues/problems

You possess working knowledge of protocols and concepts used in data centers

-ARP, VLAN, VXLAN, LACP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, QoS, L2/L3 multicast, etc.

-Understanding of TCP/IP or OSI networking models

You are familiar with Linux or Unix-like systems

-Multiple distributions (Red Hat, Ubuntu, etc.),

-Networking (bonding, bridging, iptables, VLANs, etc.)

-Virtualization (KVM, libvirt, etc.)

Familiarity with performing and analyzing packet captures using tools such as Wireshark or tcpdump

You possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

Desired Skills

Possess a CCNP or CCIE certification

Ability to determine root cause and resolution for previously unknown problems

Experience with operating and troubleshooting ACI mode Nexus 9000 switches and Application Policy Infrastructure Controllers (APICs)

Expertise with Nexus and UCS products

Experience with VMWare vCenter and ESXi with Virtual Distributed Switch (VDS)

Experience with Microsoft SCVMM and/or Openstack networking integrations

Experience with REST APIs, particularly in a networking environment

Python scripting ability or experience in other scripting or programming languages

Able to tackle problems and deliver effective solutions with a high level of customer satisfaction.

Experience with L4-L7 load balancers and firewalls
