Cox Communications is searching for a Technical Analyst II who will be responsible for understanding the network inventory management (IMS) system and related processes. The role works with the Business Analyst(s) to assess business/project needs to develop/validate business and system requirements. The Technical Analyst collaborates with the design teams in determining the application, database, and other system impacts based on the requirements. The Technical Analyst works closely with members of the technical teams to ensure all requirements are met with the solution design.

Customer relationships primarily involve information exchange working as a member of a project team. Focuses on best way to update the network IMS system for new CCI product launch or project to minimize errors and improve functionality. The ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, is extremely important as this person will need to work with both technical and business resources at all various levels to define solutions, relay technical issues or resolutions.

*Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions*

* Leads product release discussions.

* Creates and maintains the assigned standard Inventory Management System (IMS) modeling guides.

* Analyzes record discrepancies working with the markets to correct these records, reporting on findings.

* Facilitates training sessions.

* Develops, communicates, and delivers training documents, job aids, and reports.

* Facilitates discussions producing detailed meeting notes.

* Manages assigned tickets, and driving resolution to user issues.

* Interprets customer and business needs, and translates them into application, system, technical and operational requirements. Writes and tracks business requirements. Prepares funding estimates.

* Leads projects/applications requirement sessions in ensures proper technical requirements are documented, testable, and managed.

* Works with business and boundary partners (Corporate and Field Cox Business, Field Engineering and Operations, Customer Care, and others) in supporting the application lifecycle from development through implementation.

* Communicates technical and business aspects of work efforts between team members.

* Determines the impact on existing applications and databases based on requirements, and provides input to application development team during the analysis phase.

* Communicates major milestones and identifies potential project risks; conducts regular status meetings to review project activities; prioritizes and manages completion of activities.

* Partners with QA to coordinate testing of new features and bug fixes, verifying results are as expected. Assists in User Acceptance Testing activities as new features and functions are implemented.

* Works directly with Development and QA teams in completing application implementations with minimal impact on customers.

* Develops technical documentation, processes, installation procedures and service guides, application training information, and assists in the development of end-to-end documentation for various projects and products/applications.

* Participates in peer review of solution design documentation.

* Develops measurements and reporting on key service-level metrics.

* Understands the business needs and applicable enterprise information architecture standards. Identifies implications of the business requirements.

Qualifications: *Minimum*

* 2 or more years in a Telco or MSO, with ordering, engineering, and/or provisioning experience

* 2 or more years using an Inventory Management application

* Strong organizational and analytical skills

* Strong verbal and written communication skills

* Experience interpreting business objectives and successfully incorporating those objectives into the project

* Excellent Team player; showing initiative; exercising good judgment; strong follow-through; effectively managing time; maintaining flexibility; building and maintaining above-average collaboration skills; working effectively with teams throughout the organization

*Preferred *

* BS/BA degree in a related discipline in Engineering

* 4 or more years of experience modeling equipment and circuit designs in an Inventory Management System (IMS)

* Operating experience of key vendor equipment. (i.e. Nokia/ALU and Cisco)

* Experience with Access Service Request (ASR) CLONES, CLLI Coding, and Circuit Naming

* Ability in identifying and understanding issues and developing solutions

* Ability in managing multiple projects, deliverables, and milestones

* Proven follow-up and tracking of items/issues to closure

* Proven project leadership skills

* Industry recognized certification. (i.e. Nokia NRS-I or NRS-II Certification)
