The individual in this position is responsible for a business unit of the Trust Company, leading a team of associates who administer the special assets owned by trust accounts of Edward Jones Trust Company clients. The associates responsible to the Leader will include multiple disciplines and responsibilities of the Trust Company, such as:

* Daily management and support of special assets administration in accordance with Edward Jones Trust Company guidelines, fiduciary standards, trust agreements, wills, powers of attorney and all contracts relating to the account relationship;
* Understand and interpret business valuations, closely held businesses, promissory notes, partnerships, annuities, collectibles (art, coins, jewelry, etc.), tangible property, real property, and other unique assets;
* Perform risk assessments of unique asset categories;
* Developing, strengthening, and retaining client, beneficiary and branch team relationships;
* Reviewing, understanding, and interpreting real estate and other contracts, trust agreements, wills, powers of attorney and other contracts to limit regulatory and legal risk;
* Engaging outside attorneys and other vendors;
* Partnering with financial advisors to fully understand client needs and deliver an excellent client experience;
* Delivering the overall client experience with the Trust Company.

Position Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree required; JD, CPA, CFP, CTFA, or Accredited Valuation Analyst strongly preferred OR experience in valuation, management and liquidation of unique assets;
* At least 5 years of special and unique asset management leadership experience including special assets listed above;
* Demonstrated ability to provide feedback and develop associates required;
* Must have the ability to quickly determine resources, courses of action, or alternatives for special assets within trust accounts, as well as understand the risk involved with the assets;
* Must have ability to quickly determine and work with appropriate third party vendors to assist with valuing, managing or distributing assets;
* Must have strong understanding of legal concepts of trust administration, investments and portfolio management strategies. Must be familiar with Uniform Trust Code. Must have strong understanding of fiduciary risk, estate planning principles, taxes, insurance and other financial planning and fiduciary relationship-related items.
* Experience dealing with regulatory audits, issue resolution, drafting of guidelines and procedures strongly preferred;
* Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills (especially in complex matters) and interpersonal skills;
* Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to use discretion in highly complex situations.
