Aramark Canada is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) focused on recruitment for Aramark Canadas Eastern region: which includes New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Quebec and Ottawa. 


The TAS is a brand ambassador, creatively identifying candidates while championing for the companys brand to attract a diverse, high performance workforce. You will engage with candidates and internal client groups throughout the recruiting and selection process, acting as a consultative talent advisor to the business and executing recruitment strategies in order to provide excellent customer service and achieve hiring goals.


This position is a 4-6 months contract position with a potential of extension depending on individual performance and business needs. As the position will focus on business based in the Eastern Region of Canada, the ideal candidate would have to be based in Halifax, Quebec or Ottawa. 



Essential Responsibilities:

  • Deploys and executes strategies for high volume hourly recruitment across multiple lines of business in the Eastern Region of Aramark Canada  
  • Responsible for supporting the high volume hourly recruiting and working very closely with the Operations Managers to ensure there is strategy and support built for generating volume numbers within tight timelines 
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Aramark in the marketplace, championing the companys brand to build awareness and attract diverse, high performing talent
  • Leverage business knowledge, market intelligence, and industry trends to support the build of quality candidate slates and inform hiring decisions
  • Provide business updates and top notch client care by coaching and advising internal client groups
  • Leads and supports internal/external job fairs, open houses, and community-based recruiting events.
  • Maintain integrity of data in recruiting database and applicant tracking system, and produce ad hoc recruiting reports as necessary
  • Responsible for compliance reporting, ensuring real-time candidate status updates and records maintenance for audit and / or compliance
  • Develop and maintain local community partnerships to build talent pools as well as other diverse sources, to support hiring managers local recruitment efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Bachelors degree strongly preferred; High school diploma required
  • Minimum 4 years experience in high volume recruiting, corporate and / or agency experience will be considered
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a proven ability to consistently contribute in a fast-paced changing work environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills required 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required, this includes: Outlook, Word,  Powerpoint, Excel, Teams at the very least. 
  • Experience in the hospitality and retail industry would be highly preferred
  • Working familiarity with Western labour market and geography
  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Expert ability to consult on talent needs and influence hiring outcomes at various levels in the organization AND externally to build strong community partnerships to drive talent pools
  • Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems 
  • Bilingual in French (written and spoken) would be considered an asset
