Responsibilities:

Do you have what it takes to make a difference in delivering National Asset capabilities to the Intelligence community in the Space Domain? If so, the Verification, Validation and Transition (VV&T) team is your calling!

The VV&T team is responsible for technical support of the planning and execution of enterprise and system-level verification, validation and transition activities for national assets, associated ground segments and services, and mission processing systems within the enterprise. The team executes several enterprise tests and provides the recommended closure of enterprise and system requirements; Independent Verification, Validation and Transition in support of delivered system capabilities and mission closure, overseeing readiness events in support of enterprise, system and acquisition-level test milestones; leading and supporting project planning; assessing schedule and risk; generating and presenting engineering briefings; and interfacing with numerous customers. This position requires an understanding of the intelligence community and customer domain, along with a strong focus on core systems engineering processes in support of end-to-end mission and services closure.


Qualifications

This position will serve as a technical member of a dynamic systems engineering integration team supporting software and hardware development programs.

  • The candidate will participate in GEOINT and SIGINT integration initiatives for a development contract on behalf of the customer.
  • The candidate will perform Agile System Integration to include transition to Ops in a DevOps construct and will support agile test strategies allowing for continuous integration/continuous delivery
  • The candidate will write test strategies and plans, execute tests, analyze data and author summarized results in a test report
  • The candidate will perform investigations into potential new capabilities being proposed by the developer and provide guidance on relevance and worth
  • Assess test and evaluation strategies, plans and methods to assure delivery of ground systems meet system specifications and defined enterprise capabilities, and integrates ground segment and system elements together so they work as a whole.
  • The candidate will perform acquisition system integration tasks, to include regression testing, and provide deliverables in support of integrating the products, processes, subsystems, and components of a system.
  • The candidate shall participate in the creation of assessment reports and VV&T results
  • Have the aptitude to assess processes and create efficiencies continuously, and may lead projects for systems team work, have frequent client interactions, and support system and mission strategy development across the various ground offices.
  • Have daily interaction with the developer and customer and supporting contractors, and will need to follow integration processes as to transition capabilities through the lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Requires 8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD.

  • Clearance required: TS/SCI. Poly desired but will put through an upgrade.

  • Experience with space/ground testing and systems engineering, systems integration, Verification, Validation and Transition (VV&T) activities.
  • Experience supporting agile automated focused test, DevOps verification strategies and integration of new systems and initiatives in support of expanded mission capabilities.
  • Experience writing test strategies and plans, executing tests, analyzing data and summarizing results.

Strongly Desired Skills:

  • DevOps and system/software integration background
  • Experience with commercial software integration techniques is also highly desirable
  • Experience with automated test tools and reading output from automated tests
  • Technical familiarity with one or more GEOINT systems
  • Technical familiarity with one or more SIGINT High and Low systems
  • Prior experience with GEOINT and/or SIGINT systems, and/or mission operations is highly desired
