Responsibilities

The candidate selected for this position will be supporting a Sponsor organization that is responsible for operational deployment of mobility projects for the Enterprise. The candidate will provide systems engineering support to this office and all its projects, including supporting the strategic transition of O&M responsibilities into other organizations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for maintaining laptops and deploying them in support of the Wireless system.
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining code streams for the test network for wireless infrastructure. This includes build laptops, troubleshooting admin laptops, the certificate authority associated with the builds and PXE (build server).
  • For production, responsible for the management of the production MGT environment, to include patching, code stream modifications and updates to clients as needed.
  • Manage certificates on 3 standalone certificate authorities (associated monthly patching, certificate creation and renewal), including providing certificates to network devices.
  • Responsible for new HW testing and integration.
  • Coordination with both Networks & VDI, etc.
  • Complete scripts to monitor data enclaves for access from a wireless client.
  • Support security scans, documentation, and provide information associated with accreditation.
  • Provide troubleshooting connection issues with customers in coordination with other providers
  • Maintaining build procedures and validating backups on productions servers.
  • Build and creation of an automatic PXE device.

Qualifications

  • Technical proficiency with Linux
  • Demonstrated experience with scripting for automation of infrastructure
  • Good understanding of wireless networks, ability to maintain lab wireless for testing.
  • Ability to understand and work with providers of profiles to securely connect to wireless and to be tethered for patches.
  • PXE and UEFI experience
  • PKI knowledge creation, updates, and deployments
  • General Windows Hardware skills
  • Understanding of wireless.
  • Good understanding of the CSfC program.
  • Ability to maintain multiple environments to configuration control standards
  • A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a scientific discipline
  • Minimum of 10 Years' relevant experience
