Qualifications - Experience in data science, machine learningand cloud technologies (i.e. AWS)
- Demonstrated experience with Python programming language
- Proven experience in conducting advanced modeling and data analysis, applying varied mathematical and data analytics techniques and developing-models in support geography

- A Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience (3 years for Bachelors) in Information Systems, or a scientific discipline.

Responsibilities Using a holistic approach, designs, develops, evaluates and modifies end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle. Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics. Ensures requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods. Translates high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower level detailed implementation requirements. Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall product development. Designs interfaces and brings system elements together so they work as a whole. Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Customer liaison and support for business development activities and to understand and shape requirements. Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts. Translates high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with multi-discipline engineering teams to develop lower level detailed requirements. Participates in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation. Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures. Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements.
The Systems Engineer will support the Sponsors organization in providing transformational data scientist support for Geographic Information Systems.
- Provide workforce analytics support to the Sponsor
- Analyze geographic data to provide insights and identify trends
- Develop and refine geographic model(s) and accompanying data structures where needed to capture and report on composition in a consistent manner over time.
- Create data models to support informed executive-level decision making, scenario
- Work collaboratively with individuals in other work units to develop integrated models that integrate workforce data with other types of data to show linkages and patterns
- Use an array of data analytics techniques to analyze and present workforce data
- Respond to data inquiries with creative visual data presentations
- Independently conceive, prepare and communicate analytics through complex graphics, computational models and tools, and written/oral assessments.
- Ability to translate complex findings into an easily understood narrative (i., tell a story with the data) in graphical, verbal, and written form.
- Continually interface with executive level management requiring the planning, presentation and briefing of information.
