Responsibilities

Perspecta is seeking engineers who will support a wide range of programmatic and technical engineering disciplines for the intelligence community customer. All positions center on engineering support to the design, development, test, and evaluation of electrical, mechanical, and/or computer systems and deployment of intelligence collection systems. Our engineers use a holistic approach and follow systems engineering best practices to support products through their entire life cycle. Our team members perform the following activities. Generate quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics. Ensure requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods. Translate high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and work with other engineering disciplines to develop lower level detailed implementation requirements. Design interfaces and bring system elements together so they work as a whole. Perform analysis of alternatives through collection and analysis of data, and make recommendations to the customer. Assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Participate in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts. Participate in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation. Generate system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures. Review test plans/procedures and ensure they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participate in the testing process to validate requirements. Candidates will be aligned to one or more projects based on both assessing candidates' career aspirations to ensure they are supporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, math, physics, or related technical field
  • Ability to establish effective customer relationships
  • Ability to develop and present effective technical presentations to management
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills plus the ability and willingness to share knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to change
