The Defense group supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions.
Manage and lead a team of 20-30 IT professionals while being the subject matter expert on virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and client applications and policy.
Lead a team that will:
Build and deliver virtual desktops on a regular cycle. Operate and maintain VMware Horizon environment including Unified Access Gateways. Provide the best user experience possible by analyzing VDI environment with tools such as vROps and Stratusphere and working to solve issues. Build various test pools to support upcoming capabilities. Strong knowledge of PowerShell, MS SCCM, Group Policy, virtualization concepts, and windows 10.
Customize and deliver the best user experience through policy and personalization implementation. Work closely with various teams to ensure proper policy and personalization is provided for optimal experience while maintaining security practices. Use Ivanti products for user policy and personalization. Use GPOADmin for machine policy. Troubleshoot and deconflict and policy issues. Continuously assess and address IAVMs and CVEs as they are released. Must be familiar with VDI best practices.
Build and maintain client application for both physical and virtual client systems. Utilize VMware AppVolumes to build, test, deliver, and maintain AppStacks for virtual clients. Utilize MS SCCM to build, test, deliver, and maintain application packages for physical clients. Continuously assess and address IAVMs and CVEs as they are released. Work closely with Policy administrators to ensure seamless experience for users.
