Defense

The Defense group supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop a training information system for a DOD client. Training system will provide a common operational picture of the training environment in 5 integrated capability areas: Training Development, Training Management, Training Enterprise Scheduling, Learning Content Management, and Training Resource Management. These capabilities will enable the DOD client in planning and preparing for operational, institutional and self-development training.

Interacts with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or modifications. Identifies functional problems and suggests resolutions of the COTS Product for the DoD Training Customer. Defines internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs. Documents and analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports. Ensures testing procedures are in compliance with any required industry specific standards. May coordinate with vendors or suppliers to modify or develop testing for components or other parts. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Translates high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with multi-discipline engineering teams to develop lower level detailed requirements. Participates in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation. Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.

Qualifications

  • US citizen
  • Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Excellent communication and writing skills are detailed-oriented with the ability to execute and document results of test cases and have the willingness to learn complex applications and unique
  • Youve obtained a BS degree and have five (5) years of relevant experience. However, equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of
  • You have three (3) years of experience performing functional testing on production applications
  • You have three (3) years of experience in full regression testing and experience with investigating, quantifying, and documenting defects
  • Youre knowledgeable of systems engineering processes for the development of test requirements and assessment/verification requirements
  • You possess strong quantitative analysis and decision-making skills with an eye for detail
  • Experience writing automated test scripts

OPTIMIUM CANDIDATE QUALIFICATION:

  • SQL knowledge
  • Experience with Java/Javascript or other similar
  • Experience with Selenium
  • Experience with Angular JS environment
  • Experience testing web services
  • Experience testing GIS applications
