Genoa focuses on building people, careers, and teams who in turn build its world-class company, and the company seeks a Senior Vice President, Payer Product and Strategy to bring strategic and creative direction to a new era of growth and to build deep-seated relationships within the payer industry.

 

Reporting to the CEO of Genoa Healthcare, the SVP Payer Product and Strategy will be the leader in transforming direct payer and health plan opportunities to growth Genoa business and successfully expand the reach of Genoa's integrated pharmacy care model to complex populations including those with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness. This dynamic and inspirational member of the executive team will be the company's brand champion across the health care system.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage business development initiatives to grow payer based/referral and valued based business including analytical functional to support. Lead account management and analysis team. Deliver against forecasted targets. Oversee incentive programming, quota forecasting and budgeting process.
  • Establish and own relationships with payer communities including Managed Medicaid Plans, MAPD and SNP Plans, Managed Behavioral Health organizations, Accountable Care Organizations and other Risk bearing Medical groups.
  • Lead the strategic development of new pharmacy care programs and value based initiatives that demonstrate value of integrated pharmacy care model.
  • Oversee product design and implementation for all direct health plan programs.
  • Lead RFP content development and support enterprise RFP opportunities for business expansion and new business development for enterprise.
  • Coordinate business development and sales activities to align with health plan and government program initiatives across Optum.
  • Devise creative strategies to facilitate the expansion of new payer initiatives and revenue enhancement.
  • Develop and execute multipayer business development plan achieving targeted revenue goals for business expansion.
  • Bring strategic vision and innovative thinking to deliver new performance based reimbursement models to payers while advancing the leadership team's agenda for growth.
  • Communicate Genoa's value proposition across the healthcare industry.
  • Educate payers and develop the company's brand and identity to support the mission of a growing, customer-focused company.
  • Keep abreast of state and federal government legislation as well as market dynamics to anticipate industry and payer trends.
  • Overall accountability for Total Cost of Care analytics in coordination with health plan and Behavioral health partners to ensure Genoa pharmacy care model value is effectively measured across all total cost of care and affordability initiatives.
  • Participating with other senior leaders to establish corporate strategic plans and objectives, identifying strategic needs and prioritizing areas of focus.
