This position leads and manages Supply Chain Operations for the McPherson site. The Supply Chain team includes; Customer Service - customer interface, demand management, LRVF, capacity analysis and volume, order fulfillment and trade compliance; Logistics - receiving, warehousing, shipping, transportation and 3PL warehousing.; PC1 - PC1 relationship management, PC1 analysis; Planning - master planning, scheduling and inventory analysis; Business Systems Management - systems ownership and data administration. Develop teams dedicated to achieving business goals. Assures the organization provides timely material and product activation in systems, efficient operations and first-time quality processes and data. Develops and manages annual operating budgets. Utilize meaningful performance measurements to drive continuous improvements. Collaborates with Business Units to align supply initiatives with market requirements.


+ Developing a site strategic plan for Supply Chain department

+ Lead long-term capacity assessments to assure appropriate capital investments supportive of long term commercial and sourcing plans.

+ Supply corrective action, crisis management and resolution for entire site supply chain

+ Active participation in internal and market S&OP processes to ensure complete alignment of supply and demand through the site supply chain

+ In collaboration with Global Supply Chain (GSC), develop supply strategies and interfaces with suppliers to ensure consistent and reliable supply of materials

+ Ensure optimal and accurate maintenance of all master data & parameters to ensure accurate and robust supply plans are available

+ Creating annual expense budgets and successfully executing against the budget

+ Articulating, role modeling and providing leadership toward the desired culture

+ Representing the Supply Chain function during regulatory audits

+ Executing HR processes (staffing, development planning, talent assessment, performance management, succession planning, discipline, recognition)

+ Responsible for inventory management

+ Responsible for Transportation & Fleet management

+ Ensure cGMP & OSHA compliance with warehouse activities

+ Driving continuous improvement in all facets of the operations (safety, quality, cost, service)


+ Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a regulated industry (pharmaceutical experience preferred) or a Masters degree with 7 years of pharmaceutical or similarly regulated industry experience

+ Minimum of 5 years operational supply chain experience

+ Minimum of 10 years at the managerial level successfully directing and developing staff level colleagues.

+ Experience participating in audits and interacting with regulatory agencies

+ Strong analytical skills & strategic thinking required

+ Proven negotiation and influencing skills

+ Able to work at all levels of the organization and in matrix structure

+ Effective written and oral communication skills including presentation skills

+ Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint


+ APICS or related certification desired

+ SAP experience desired

+ Effective written and oral communication skills including presentation skills


Colleague will be working in a professional office environment, with regular periodic visit to the manufacturing and/or operational areas.


Limited travel required. Non-standard work hour support of global conference calls, 24/7 manufacturing, etc. required when needed, though not typical of weekly requirements.
