Perspectas Civilian, State and Local segment partners with the U.S. Federal Civilian State and Local governments to provide infrastructure services, business solutions, and digital transformation services that help them achieve policy objectives and integrate citizen-centric services.

Responsibilities

  • Coaching and mentoring junior members
  • Create reporting solutions and reports addressing the demands of the team and customers
  • Working with engineering groups to deliver value to customers
  • Escalating and liaising with additional groups when required, resulting in satisfactory resolution
  • Resolving incidents impacting hosts or environment
  • Investigating & troubleshooting root causes via problem management
  • Creating, reviewing, maintaining and updating documentation
  • Facilitating knowledge amongst colleagues
  • Planning and controlled execution of releases into the managed environment
  • Providing input into Business Continuity Planning and Practices
  • Assisting in major planned events such as power down and disaster recovery
  • Responding to severity 1 and 2 escalations
  • Develop and maintain windows platform for the server as a host, connected with multiple clients (other computers)
  • Test and certify new versions of windows operating system providing better solution and integration for the application like VMware and SharePoint.
  • Integrate the server automation process either by custom scripts or via third-party solutions.
  • Implement regular checks for the status of servers including hardware and software.
  • Maintain and support multi-site windows environment along with hardware and software configuration.
  • Management of server migration when required by the client.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in supporting Windows Server Operating Systems
  • 10+ years of experience in patch management: deep knowledge of Microsofts and other vendors practices.
  • 7+ years supporting Citrix environments
  • 7+ years of experience in Microsoft BI stack, including SQL server, SSRS and SSIS
  • 5+ years of experience in participating in CAB meetings and approval flow of Production changes
  • Advanced knowledge of PowerShell scripting
  • Experience in deploying, migrating and supporting one or more core Microsoft technologies on a large scale environment (e.g. Active Directory, DFS-R, DFS-N, Printing, System Center Suite including Configuration Manager, Operations Manager and Orchestrator, WSUS, Failover Clustering)
  • Great analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Great attention to detail
