What Youll Do

Cisco Operations Planning and Portfolio Office (OP&P) accelerates transformation at Cisco. We are the lead orchestrators of the entire Operations strategic planning and are the stewards of Ciscos largest internal investment fund and lead the planning, governance, execution performance this portfolio of large-scale transformation projects.

Our goal is to ensure alignment to Corporate priorities and value realization from our investments. In this role:

  • You interface across Engineering, CX, Operations and Strategy & Planning/PMO teams to manage functional strategic planning, portfolio planning advisory services (e.g. business case development, status and metrics reporting, navigate system interfaces, and track cross-portfolio critical risks/actions/dependencies).
  • Support senior and C-level investment decision-making to prioritize strategy alignment, and drive governance to ensure investment ROI and accountability.
  • You will oversee/support the leadership team with developing senior executive level data analytics dashboards and reporting.
  • You will prepare and present oral and written reports, advanced presentation storyboard/deck-building, and monthly cadences and quarterly business review deliverables.
  • You will work to drive cross-functional team alignment.
  • You will contribute to the development of a strategic planning & portfolio governance methodology

You are able to perform an exceptional leadership role in a PMO team. You are able to help coordinate cross-functionally in different types of meetings, take notes, follow-up on actions.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years relevant work experience in business operations, including strategic planning facilitation, financial acumen and oversight.
  • Bachelors degree required. Advanced business degree from a top-tier institution preferred.
  • Management consulting, venture capital/accelerator/private equity experience.
  • Background in application of data and analytics topics to inform key business decisions.
  • Knowledge of complex principles of financial analysis, business methodology and managerial thought.
  • Advanced PowerPoint, Excel, BOX, Smartsheet, etc.
  • Think Cell application, PMP, Agile experience is a plus.
  • Must have the ability to support/lead, strategic planning, advisory guidance and portfolio governance experience.
  • Must have strong facilitation skills (operational, progress and status meetings).
  • Must have the ability to understand the business and technology (e.g. Product, Software, SaaS, Customer Experience, operational capabilities), and identify interdependencies and orchestrate critical connections.
