Statistician at Pfizer, Andover, MA to support drug manufacturing and quality control (QC) operations by providing data analysis and statistical consultation internally within Pfizer. This is a non-clinical position that does not involve clinical trials.


Responsibilities in this position includes quantification of variabilities due to manufacturing process, QC analytical methods and product stability using methods such as analysis of variance; assessing data distributions and hypothesis testing; analyzing trends and correlations using regression methods; establishing statistical process control (SPC) and specification limits, and product expiry; doing power calculations, and recommending sample sizes and statistical designs for analytical method validation, process development, etc.; documenting the recommendations and solutions in formal reports. The recommended solutions should use sound statistical basis that should be acceptable not only to the collaboration scientists and engineers but also to other statisticians and regulatory personnel.


+ PhD in Statistics is required


+ MS in Statistics with minimum of 3 years of experience is required.


+ Bachelor's degree in Statistics with minimum of 5 years of experience is required.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and one or more statistical software packages such as JMP, R, Minitab and/or SAS is required.


+ PhD or Master's degree in Statistics is highly preferred.

+ Application of statistical methodologies to support manufacturing and quality control test methods is preferred.


+ Work in an office environment with occasional standing, walking.

+ Ability to perform mathematical calculations and ability to perform complex data analysis.
