*Summary*

This role reports to the Director of Project Management Office and is responsible for the delivery of key initiatives that utilize technological solutions on time and within budget, partnering with project stakeholders, internal customers, external vendors, and cross-functional teams. Common deliverables typically include the scope definition, requirements documents, work activities (design, development, QA), project schedule, risk register, communication plan, resource plan, risk management plan, procurement plans, project budget, status updates, reporting, and tracking. As a member of the Project Management Office, this individual will serve as a champion of project management best practices to achieve a projects stated objectives, delivering maximized value for Cox Media and outstanding experiences for our customers.


*Responsibilities*

- Initiates, plans, and executes complex and strategic projects that utilize technological solutions under minimal or no supervision.

- Serves as a technical liaison working to coordinate project deliverables in close coordination between CCI and CMI development team and/or strategic vendors when applicable.

- Develops detailed project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports; tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet needs of customers.

- Develops and executes management plans for time, cost, scope, quality, communications, risk, human resources, procurement, and integration.

- Builds relationships with key stakeholders and project resources to drive key decisions and ensure timely project completion. Fosters collaboration with key internal constituencies within Cox Media including Product, Technology, Operations, Business Enablement/Development, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and other divisions within Cox and outside of Cox Media when necessary.

- Contributes to development of the project budget; Generally responsible for managing or coordinating expenses within a budget or part of a larger budget. Budget management typically includes costing, tracking of status, managing monthly variance/ reforecasting, and resolving cost issues.

- Identifies and gains allocation of project team resources necessary to successfully complete the project.

- Communicates major milestones and identifies potential project risks; conducts regular status meetings to review project activities; manages prioritization procedures.

- Sets and manages client expectations, managing and escalating issues and changes.

- Evaluates the impacts and risks of changes from multiple perspectives, assigns tasks that are necessary to reduce or eliminate those considerations, determines tentative implementation dates, and tracks results of the implementation.

- Anticipates and identifies tasks required to support change processing including performing change impact analysis, assigning tasks to project team members, verbally communicating complex issues, verifying that tasks are completed, and communicating implementation status.

- Contributes to implementation success and technical system stability by using change methodologies that assure the reliability of business and operations systems.

- Creates and applies project control techniques that reduce risk from changing technological infrastructure, hardware, automations, systems software, or applications systems.

Qualifications: *Required*

- 7 years of experience in related field (i.e. Change management, process improvement, project management) in the media or related data driven industry.

- Passionate about delivering projects on time and on budget in cross-functional team environments.

- Demonstrated analytic, strategic, and tactical planning skills.

- Strong time management and prioritization skills with a demonstrated ability to execute against multiple projects and excel in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and results-oriented work environment.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to work with all levels and functions within the organization, especially technical teams.

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Project Management software (e.g. Project).


*Preferred *

- BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly preferred.

- Experience in Media or related industry desired.

- Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master preferred.
