The Sr Research Strategist will serve as a resource and subject matter expert on branch insights to every area of the firm. This role seeks strategic opportunities for integration of existing branch insights as well as identification of areas where new branch insights are needed. The role will be active in ongoing research efforts at branches, and partner closely with a research design and execution team outside of the division.

*Key Responsibilities:*
* To work with a team of research professionals to manage branch research needs for Edward Jones
* Responsible for partnering with internal business partners to understand business questions, propose associated research questions, concerning branch insights projects to generate actionable insights, and interpreting project results to answer original business questions. The projects will support individual business areas. The responsibility is both proactive (originating ideas) and reactive (responding to requests from other business areas)
* Review, synthesize, and interpret research findings and apply critical thinking as to how to address the business objectives
* Partner with design and execution team to provide approval at key tactical milestones of cross-functional branch insights projects, including design approval, vendor approval (where appropriate), and approval of results
* Create and communicate branch insights, synthesized from various data sources and projects, to stakeholders in meaningful and actionable ways. Identifies proactive opportunities to communicate insights to additional relevant stakeholders
* Guide business areas through the branch insights process to determine the most efficient and effective research designs to their business process

*Position Requirements:*
* Master's degree preferred, Bachelor's degree required
* SICP (Securities Industry Certificate Program) completed within 12 months of start date
* Minimum of 8+ years of research experience or business analysis experience, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility
* General knowledge of research methodologies, vendors, and current research technologies. Ability to assist in the selection of research vendors
* Knowledge or experience in behavioral based research or psychology/human behavior
* Ability to design and organize pilot programs
* Ability to design and/or conduct branch observations and focus groups
* Excellent project management skills and detail orientation
* Solid ability to assist in the interpretation of research results and succinctly summarize them and provide insights for the firm
* General knowledge of current research technologies
* Strong writing and communication skills
* Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to present to senior and executive management
* Strong aptitude for decision making
* Strong ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once
* Strong ability to assist with identifying efficient workflow processes for the team
* General knowledge of the financial services industry and key competitors
* General knowledge of secondary research information
