*Project Leader - Firm Portfolio Management Office*
The Firm Portfolio Management Office is an enterprise-wide function responsible for evolving the firm's capabilities for planning, project, and program management to help facilitate decision-making around and execution of the firm's portfolio of strategic work. This includes development of the processes by which strategic programs and projects are scoped, prioritized, planned and resourced as well as leadership of execution around our largest strategic programs through a centralized program management function in partnership with division-level PMOs.

As a Project Leader, you will be a trusted advisor working with senior leaders while driving strategic engagements. This role is an opportunity to lead engagement teams to define and deliver business outcomes (get results through others, delegation, provide coaching and feedback) and an opportunity to manage up and influence other leaders. It requires experience with high-risk, complex business projects, and requires a high degree of strategic thinking, planning, organizing, driving for results, and adapting to change. The Sr. Project Leader will be responsible for the execution and management of large, complex cross-functional and/or cross-products projects.

*Key Responsibilities:*

* Support the development of complex business cases for senior management while demonstrating thought leadership, innovative tendencies, and an ability to drive for results

* Lead multiple large and complex scope projects simultaneously, with a high degree of risk, visibility and urgency within a functional area or at times spanning multiple areas, divisions or outside vendors. Scale of projects / programs ranges from $10MM to $100MM

* Ability to create a strategy, roadmap and plan for a team to execute against and collaborate with Product teams as needed, and develop processes for PPM and Product Management Lifecycles

* Partner with business leaders and teams to scope, define and coordinate initiatives in support of business innovation and strategy. This includes major and detailed project tasks, critical path, contentions and resources to manage the tasks across multiple sub-projects.

* Ensure project schedule, scope and quality objectives are met by monitoring, using metrics and controls to measure progress, taking preventative and corrective action and escalating issues and risks when necessary. Assess trade-offs to scope using cost / benefit analysis and make recommendations to senior leaders.

* Provide timely communication of relevant data to senior leadership for decision making. Establish and maintain effective communications and relationships across multiple areas, divisions, outside vendors and project leaders/teams who are working on sub-projects within a project.

* Lead vendor selection in a project with many vendors. Manage vendor relationship throughout the life of the project.

* Provide leadership, development and mentoring to project and department associates through modeling of best practices and providing timely feedback.

* Integrate multiple project plans and product roadmaps using project and product management tools to create an integrated program plan with identifiable critical path(s), project dependencies, risks, issues, constraints and major milestones.

*Position Qualifications*

*Minimum Requirements: *

* 5+ years of experience leading projects/programs with a high level of complexity/integration that includes other projects and project leaders.

*Preferred Experience: *

* Strong strategic project management experience at the enterprise level, projects exceeding $10MM in budget.

* 5 years of project management or product management experience leading complex projects/products is required, with the ability of creating, monitoring, and interpreting program / project performance metrics through the entire development lifecycles.

* 3-5 years of business management or strategy consulting experience with a consulting firm and/or corporate strategy area desired

* 3+ years of people leadership experience; Experience leading and mentoring others in project and/or product management principles

* PMP and/or Agile certification/s (PMP, SAFe and/or Company Specific Certifications)

* Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent experience. MBA or graduate degree preferred

* Excellent interpersonal skills and incorporates effective listening and collaboration, with ability to demonstrate communication skills (verbal and written) with project team, other project leaders, multiple areas, divisions and outside vendors.

* Strong analytic and problem-solving skills

* Solid organization and coordination skills

* Comfortable with ambiguity

* Experience with PPM tools such as Clarity, Jira, and/or Aha is preferred but not required
