**ROLE SUMMARY**



+ Sr. Manager, Compliance Global Investigations role will be responsible for constructing compliance investigation infrastructure and framework, including leading the development and implementation of the compliance investigation initiatives and programs; as well as overseeing the investigations of potential significant violations of applicable laws, regulations and policies.

+ This role will be responsible for implementing compliance investigation strategies based on key business activities.

+ This role will directly report to Vice President of Compliance and will be in APAC.

+ Job scope covers NA, LAtAM, and Europe



**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Strategy development and infrastructure building**



+ Support to drive the activities of investigation monitoring trends and patterns to develop compliance strategies and infrastructure, with strategic assessments on corporate level risk.

+ Develop and maintain knitted cross-function partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders in order to optimize investigative processes and mitigate risk or reduce cost.

+ Coordinate to manage multiple compliance investigation disclosure programs, and provide relevant data and analytics reporting; as well as the compliance quality assurance ("QA") review programs for specific business units and products based upon applicable laws, regulations and related internal policies at a global level.



**Thought leadership and practices on the subject matter of investigation**



+ Oversee investigations of potential significant violations of laws and policies to ensure that all business activities follow applicable law and regulatory requirements and other applicable standards.

+ Examine potential issues and exception items with heads of other functions (i.e. Legal, Quality, etc.) for discussion and further investigation, if deemed necessary.

+ Support to provide operational and communications support to the Upjohn Leadership team on matters of investigation.

+ Identify and forecast potential compliance vulnerability and risk, and provide guidance and advice on compliance issues and mitigations to compliance risk to the Upjohn leadership team, Function leadership and Compliance leadership.



**Reporting and collaboration**



+ Drive the reporting process to Upjohn leadership with detailed findings and recommendations; prepare for periodic report on significant activities and upcoming plans for next scheduled period.

+ Coordinate necessary Investigation related information to support internal and external audit.

+ Collaborate with Legal on government inquiries, regulatory and enforcement matters, and oversee implementation of remedial actions flowing from investigative findings.

+ Contribute to the Human Resource document drafting resulting from compliance investigations, including but not limited to the Employee Handbook, Labor Contract, and Service Term Agreement of the clients.

+ Liaising with vendors to ensure effective operation and implementation of solutions.



**QUALIFICATIONS**

Indicate qualifications that are job related, consistent with business necessity and necessary for the performance of an essential function of this role including: education/licenses/certifications, relevant experience (where legally permissible), technical and/or other job-related skills.



**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**



+ Bachelor's degree is required and Law degree is preferred.

+ A minimum of 8 years' experience in a compliance, audit, or regulatory related position.

+ 3 years served in a compliance leadership role in pharmaceutical industry, and demonstrated experience in building compliance programs.

+ Have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of various elements of compliance program and other industry guidance which could potentially affect the development, sales and marketing of Upjohn products.

+ Keen understanding of compliance laws, regulations, applicable standards and needs of a major pharmaceutical company, with an ability to balance needs of emerging and developed markets.

+ Demonstrated understanding of the business with proven ability to align and integrate compliance requirements and business strategy.

+ Demonstrated ability to interact and facilitate change with senior leadership, function leadership and other key stakeholders to reach an aligned view of compliance investigation.

+ Ability to make decisions and solve problems by developing innovative solutions or perform root cause analysis and act accordingly to resolve issues

+ Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively, communicate at highest level of compliance and business and with internal cross functional teams.

+ Strategic thinker; ability to distill complex issues and develop innovative approaches to leverage opportunities and/or mitigate risk in assigned markets.

+ Ability to provide and lead in-depth analysis and recommendations to senior leaders.

+ Established track record of coalition building in complex environment.

+ Organization, prioritization and project management skills.



**OTHER QUALIFICATIONS**



+ Excellent analytical skills and time management skills, demonstrate attention to detail.

+ Able to flexibly operate in dynamic environment and respond to all standard and ad-hoc requests.

+ Ability to work in a global, cross-functional environment.
