About the Team


Our SPT Site Operations organization is focused on engineering proactively for Availability, Performance Reliability, Resiliency and Security throughout the software delivery lifecycle and across multiple Agile product teams. We support over 160 applications and over 120 scrum teams. Our Site Operations team supports a mix of high value functions across multiple technology disciplines, including Service Management, Infrastructure Operations, Tier 1 and 2 Application Production Support, Release Management, Security, Capacity Management, Configuration Management, among others. About the Job


We are looking for a Lead Product & Dev Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment.


This position will be responsible for being the Ops Delivery Lead and Product Manager for SRE Epics across ops agile teams. This includes managing & tracking Tech Enabler Epics across multiple ops product teams, keeping leadership and key stakeholders informed of ops product team progress, and performance while helping mitigate risks, roadblocks, and challenges.


The ideal candidate is multi-talented across several fields, such as agile software engineering, business, release management, program management with a good understanding of overall business context, and great communication skills. The Lead Product & Dev Manager will need to be a tech savvy self-starter, able to lead, manage, drive and advocate for large complex tech ops programs, key initiatives and will provide a centralized source of coordination across internal and external teams.


Responsibilities and Day-to-Day View


Primary Responsibilities:


Help define the ops tech enabler roadmap as delivery lead across multiple ops product teams


Work with Product Managers/Owners to understand the requirements and develop technical solutions


Work with Architect and PO for technical solution discussion


Help teams develop AID documents and host tech enabler development sessions


Identify dependencies for other teams to deliver product


Lead the agile SRE roadmap work for the SPT Operations organization across various ops teams including Engineering, Product Teams, and other enterprise level partners - to coordinate preparation, execution and ensuring success of Tech Enablers from start to finish


Ensure reporting and any dashboards accurately reflect relevant data, and inform senior leadership on status and roadblocks clearly


Manage high-quality documentation of solutions, including business requirements, and operational requirements


Define, prioritize, and achieve strategic objectives for major launches and initiatives


Ability to get hands-on to get things done fast and ability to work without continual guidance


Manage data analytics and tracks KPIs, OKRs and or other performance metrics to measure operations performance.


Attention to detail combined with the ability to understand the big picture with creative thinking


Qualifications


Required Experience:


Education: Bachelor's in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, from an accredited college, university or equivalent experience


10+ years experience with complex technology initiatives involving data analysis, software engineering and program management


5+ years of experience in large Technology Organizations working in agile methodology


Experience managing large scale cross-functional initiative and programs and/or release schedules


Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps


Deep understanding of AT&T product lines


Deep understanding of agile software development and Scaled Agile framework


Ability to communicate technical information and work across external teams.


Customer-focused mindset, with demonstrated skill in managing expectations, providing proactive status updates, and producing high-quality work product


Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.


Excellent communication (oral, written, presentation), interpersonal and consultative skills


Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work independently


Self-motivated and a genuine desire to learn new skills


Preferred Experience:


5+ years of Technology Release Management experience working directly with product and software engineering teams


Masters Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field


Experience with analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) to develop dashboards and reports
