ADP is hiring a Sr. Communications Specialist, Public Relations. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the planning and execution of communications programs that help tell ADP's story in business and trade media. Working collaboratively and within a matrixed organization, the person in this position will help to create PR plans, media messaging, PR tactics and more to communicate through the media with key clients, prospects and target audiences important to ADP.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and tracking of comprehensive PR programs that focus on relevant themes, topics, lines of business and target audiences.
  • Assist with drafting and editing media materials, including media briefing documents, written Q&As, bylined articles, and press releases.
  • Maintain key corporate documents, policy guidelines, subject matter expert database and bios, online Media Center and weekly press release calendar.
  • Develop a daily collection of media coverage and share with key business stakeholders.
  • Assist with tracking and reporting out KPIs, including development of monthly and quarterly reports, as well as weekly program analytics updates.
  • Support amplification of PR content by brand ambassadors by serving up content in established channels and exploring new avenues for amplification.
  • Assist paid amplification efforts by identifying relevant content, crafting compelling post copy and measuring performance.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Technical Writing or related discipline that benefits the position.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment as part of a high-profile PR or related team.
  • Strong writer able to infuse desired "tone" into deliverables.
  • Strong collaborator.
  • PowerPoint proficiency.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • Keen understanding of how to craft and communicate a compelling message, and the ability to influence external audiences.
  • Experience working with or working in a PR/advertising/communications agency and/or communications team in a complex corporate setting.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, teaming, verbal, presentation and process-facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated editorial skills and outstanding command of the English language.
  • Ability to place material in external media outlets.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills for managing diverse and potentially conflicting activities.
