The Sr Business Analyst, Risk Adjustment supports WellMed by providing critical thinking, analysis, gather requirements to achieve objectives and recommendations on business needs. The position is responsible for providing analysis skills, monitoring organizational performance to plan, identifying factors to determine and recommend areas of business development and enhancement, and developing clear action plans to drive processes. Responsible to learn and understand the Medicare Risk Adjustment business and the company strategy to achieve optimal care for our members.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to complete thorough business analyses, which includes examining business processes and workflows for optimization and/or performing statistical and/or data analyses. Transforms data into meaningful, professional, and easy to understand formats for leadership review. Develops recommendations and reviews findings with peers and leaders

  • Responsible to liaison and collaborate with the appropriate teams to complete work items, contention meetings, review solution options or deliverables, schedules and deadlines
  • ""
  • Responsible for documenting and updating changes to workflow, training plans, policies and procedures as directed
  • ""
  • Serves as the liaison between departments, markets and IT for all Quality / Risk Adjustment reporting needs. Troubleshoots all errors and data inconsistencies and coordinates resolutions to issues as directed by self, staff, regional market leadership, and corporate management
  • ""
  • Builds and documents business requirements within company guidelines that support the design process
  • ""
  • Responsible for coordinating and completing user acceptance testing with the purpose of verifying that the solution provides the expected results with the business objectives, success criteria and individual business requirements
  • ""
  • Acts as a single point of contact for assigned Quality / Risk Adjustment programs and projects, as warranted. Plans, develops, implements and evaluates programs and projects, coordinates business goals and objectives, collaborates with project team members, develops measurable project goals and objectives and monitors progress to completion. Facilitates communication between team members and identifies and coordinates assignment of internal and external resources to meet project requirements

  • Develops or assist in the development of work plans, time schedules and estimation of resources for solutions

  • Provides training and support for peers and junior staff members and reviews junior team member performance meets expectations

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (3 additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelors degree)
  • ""
  • 1+ years of business analysis, or healthcare operations experience
  • ""
  • Possess solid analytical / statistical skills used in evaluating and analyzing data
  • ""
  • Advanced PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Outlook, SharePoint, Business Maps, Microsoft Project)
  • ""
  • Ability to interact one-on-one and consult with all levels of leadership
  • ""
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • ""
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, high energy and enthusiasm, with the ability to thrive in a collaborative high performance and action-oriented team environment
  • ""
  • You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location
  • ""
