**What You Will Achieve** Working with Pfizer's dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical role in developing and modifying process formulations, methods and controls to meet desired quality standards. Your production engineering skills will help in recommending and implementing improvements, modifications or additions that will help in solving problems. You will review product requirements in terms of product development compatibility and help Pfizer determine optimum costs and schedules of production.

**How You Will Achieve It**



+ Providing controls/automation technical support the site automation systems

+ Providing controls/automation technical support and execution of projects/assignments

+ Troubleshooting and problem-solving manufacturing operations control system issues. Contributes to the interpretation of results and the design of subsequent activities.

+ Assisting with system changes for supported systems and assisting in developing the approach to solutions.

+ Responsible for system-wide system compliance, including alarm reporting/trending and user account administration

+ Perform system support responsibilities for 2-3 systems and/or provides technical assistance for one or more of the following systems: BMS, FTAC (PLC), DeltaV, and/or PI

+ Support responsibilities may consist of master data maintenance, validation support, user change management, performance monitoring, periodic reviews, training, and release upgrades.

+ Modify moderately complex to highly complex control logic that requires a degree of scientific and/or manufacturing process expertise

+ Perform routine troubleshooting activities for automated systems. Level 1 support of automation for continuous processes (e.g. CUB, WFI, etc.), including troubleshooting, operator assistance, data reporting, investigations, etc.

+ Responsible for maintenance & support of automation computing infrastructure (software, servers, switches, controllers, HMIs, etc.),

+ The position requires monitoring and management of multiple systems at the same time and good communication skills to keep customers, peers, and area management up to date with automation activities.

+ Clearly communicate progress and issues to peers.



**Qualifications**

**Must-Have**



+ Minimum of 4 years of experience and Associate's degree in any of the following disciplines Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering (or related fields) is required, with a focus on automated systems preferred OR

+ Minimum of 2 years of experience and Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering (or related fields) is required, with a focus on automated systems preferred.



**Nice-to-Have**



+ Knowledge of one to two control system platforms/programming with depth of understanding.

+ Broad understanding of systems architecture and operations and related components (e.g. hardware, software, network, database, S88/S95 etc.)

+ Experience with process controls equipment including BMS, PLCs, DCSs, HMIs, SCADA systems, SQL relational database systems, and Network Hubs including debugging skills as well as M0dbus, OPC, Profibus, and Ethernet IP

+ Experience with writing software test plans, user requirements, and system design documents



**PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS**



+ Position requirements are typical for a manufacturing plant-based work environment with shop floor exposure in manufacturing and utilities.

+ There are no unusual physical or mental requirements for this position.



**NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS**



+ The position may require working on the floor in manufacturing or utility areas at times which will require a focus on safety. Aseptic gowning could be required.

+ Schedule is primarily rotating shift (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift), 8-hour shifts, but may require off-shift work on occasion.
