Sr. Aseptic Process Engineer/Technologist will function as a member of the SPM PCT Team to provide technical expertise and operational support. This role will also report to the Reliability Team. The role owns and facilitates the implementation of the TPM program; operator care, work management and reliability based maintenance. The role owns & facilitates the IMEx ecosystem element accountable for the equipment/asset care processes, which will impact the OEE. The role will leverage coaching and training of operators to enhance equipment understanding, perform effective root cause analysis, and drive equipment performance improvements. The role partners with other SPM PCT members, shop floor colleagues, and supervision to enhance equipment understanding towards a consistent and efficient operation. Responsibilities or influence may extend to additional SPM PCTs.


+ Accountable for effective implementation and sustaining of TPM program; operator care, work management and reliability based maintenance.

+ Ownership of the maintenance and calibration strategy of equipment as it relates to operator care program.

+ Coach and training of operators and technicians in equipment performance and root cause analysis

+ Development of technical and operational standards for optimal equipment set up and running

+ Drives complex defect elimination

+ Support functions located at the facility

+ Review complex documents (PI&D, Technical documents)

+ Drive, own and implement equipment changes


+ Bachelor Degree in Science or Engineering with 5+ experience in GMP environment.

+ Previous technical training in science and/or equipment areas with pharmaceutical or maintenance experience

+ Experience in the three pillars of TPM; reliability based maintenance, work management, and operator care.

+ Successful candidate has demonstrated coaching skills and effective interpersonal interactions and influencing skills.

+ Proven leadership & collaborative team work capabilities

+ Experience with developing & teaching complex technical training for operations

+ Ability to work in a multicultural environment

+ Ability to work independently and within a team

+ Flexibility and independence to work in a changing and environment

+ Time management skills

+ Proactive and result oriented

+ Technical expertise to analyze technical data and reports


+ Operating experience in aseptic processing areas, formulation, clean rooms, component and equipment preparation for aseptic fill preferred

+ Certification in Six-Sigma methodologies is preferred.

+ CQA, CQE prefer

+ Top tier technical writing and group presentation skills


Job will include standing, walking, and sitting. Occasional lifting may be required.

+ This position works around moving machines, is exposed to temperature changes and is required to wear personal protective equipment in certain areas.

+ Position may require to wear aseptic gowning

+ Position may require to stand-up for long periods


Occasional travel may be required for specific projects or training.

Position requires regular on-site attendance - this position cannot be performed on a remote or telecommute basis on a temporary, short- or long-term basis.

Must have the ability to simultaneously multi-task across multiple capabilities and functions and handle multiple competing priorities and requirements, including performing site and functional responsibilities, responding to email and phone communications and attending meetings.

Note these activities may not be time bound to core hours or presence at the site.

Must be willing to work beyond the hours typically defined as a 'regular' work day, which may or may not include weekends and holidays. May include travel.
