Texas NeuroRehab Center (TNC) provides complex medical and brain injury rehab, chemical dependency treatment for adults and neuropsychiatric treatment for youth. The capabilities of the facility as a whole allow for integrated and specialized care for children, adolescents and adults facing difficult challenges.

Texas NeuroRehab Center is currently accepting applications for aSpeech Pathologist - PRN.The candidate selected will be expected to provide Speech/Language/Cognitive and Dysphagia services. The candidate selected will be responsible for the following:

  • Comply with all Administrative, Clinical, and Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Must actively support the mission, philosophy, and goals for the hospital.
  • Must be able to communicate with sensitivity to growth, development, and cultural issues.
  • Provide individual and group therapy to patients and Dysphagia consultation and family education related to specific treatment
  • Provide Speech/Language/Cognitive and Dysphagia evaluations of patients.
  • Supervise Speech/Language Assistants as assigned.
  • Document all clinical services provided.
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements

The following are the job requirements for the Speech Pathologist - PRN position:

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Knowledge of child, adolescent, and adult speech, language, cognitive, swallowing disorders, and treatment strategies associated with traumatic brain injuries, neuropsychiatric and other neurological disorders.

Education: MS, MA, M.Ed., or Ph.D. in Speech Language/Pathology

Licensure/Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence by the American Speech and Hearing Association. Licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech/Language Pathology and Audiology

Experience: Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year.

Physical/General Requirements: Able to lift 25 pounds with occasional lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
