Sodexo Corporate Services Division has an exciting new opportunity for 4 Space Planner with experience in managing moves, add, and changes, of employees and furniture.  We operate Integrated facilities management services across two multi-site campuses, (composed of 28 buildings) located in Framingham, MA and Cambridge, MA. The campus is made up of a variety of office, laboratory and manufacturing space. 


The Space Planner will Provide expertise and guide the planning and implementation of move projects and other facilities planning activities within a North America portfolio of sites.Work as a liaison and point of contact between client contacts, stakeholders, end users, facilities planning, and Sodexo engineering teams to ensure that all facilities projects and moves are performed in a timely and high quality manner.


Serve as the primary contact for key stakeholders within the defined portfolio of buildings. Meet with teams regularly to ensure defined planning, project, and move goals are met in a timely manner to support the defined strategies and objectives.


Duties include but not limited to:

  • The primary interface with client employees from the initiation of a move request through the completion and follow up.
  • Communicates key dates, schedules, and coordinates moves.
  • Serves as a liaison between the move requestor, personnel move, and the departments and vendors providing move services.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the personnel moving receive all necessary information prior to the move and that the move and new office requirements are documented.
  • Provides pre and post move room inspection verifying availability, cleanliness, and conformity to standard layout.
  • Administers contracts for local furniture moving, cleaning, refinishing, and refurbishment.
  • Specializes in the installation, use, and modification of standard and high-density filing systems.

Facilities Planning:


  • Reports to Operations Manager, Facilities Planning, to implement day-to-day facilities planning and move activities as well as support for strategic projects in support of defined business and customers needs
  • Assist the Ops Manager, Facilities Planning with oversight of day-to-day move coordination

 Move Management:


  • Plan, schedule and manage large project moves; including coordination with project teams and vendors as necessary to successfully execute the moves
  • Schedule and lead move management meetings with client liaisons and be their primary contact to discuss move process

 Interior Design:


  • Develop analysis and options for new space requests
  • Oversight to scope out and price furniture and services required to support projects
  • Have AutoCAD capabilities and experience to prepare sketches and plans for small scale projects

 Project Management:


  • Plan, schedule and manage office reconfigurations and other projects as requested (office furniture, fixtures and equipment)
  • Track project scope, schedule, and costs
  • Schedule, lead & manage project teams and vendors as necessary to successfully implement projects
  • Cross train on eCenterOne system administration and reporting
  • Serve as the SME for related workflows and activities
  • Be involved in system upgrades and other process improvement projects

Position Summary

Provide management of Facility office relocation, space planning/design/signage, standards and office furniture expertise to execute projects, client move requests and facility work order requests. Manage supporting vendor suppliers (including voice, date, electrical), service (including hard/soft) providers and team members to execute and coordinate projects, relocation process, furniture reconfigurations and signage installations.

Qualifications & Requirements
